Story
Meet Bobbie, the tiny pup with a big personality! Fate brought Bobbie and her rescuers together. Good Samaritans found the sweet little 9-pound pup, soaking wet, shivering, and missing a lot of fur. They named her Bobbie, in memory of their dog Bobby who was rescued from the same area and who had recently passed away. Since being rescued, Bobbie has gone from being shy an scared to being happy and playful. This little nugget would thrive with another doggo so they can play all day! She is totally crate-trained and doesn't make a peep at night. Fill out an application to meet sweet Bobbie! Story
Hudson is a 3 year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He is a tiny, adorable dog with a huge personality that will keep you laughing all the time! He loves to play with other dogs and is always the first to make friends when new fosters come into the house. He can hold his own with big dogs and little dogs alike. His favorite activity is running zoomies, and he will run so hard and fast down the hall that he bounces off the wall...but he hops right back up and is ready for more. He also loves to explore the backyard and find the perfect stick or hunt down those annoying cicadas! Hudson doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be ok with kids ages 10 and over. Kids will need to understand that Hudson is not the type of dog to be chased or picked up. Hudson is cuddly and loves to snuggle at night, but prefers it on his own terms. He doesn't love being picked up...it scares him a little...but he is getting more used to it. Having other dogs around is a must for him as it gives him confidence and someone whose lead he can follow. He is housetrained with a dog door but is probably going to mark at first, so if that's a huge deal to you, he's not your dog (remember, he's tiny so the clean-up is negligible). Bring a smile to your face every day - take Hudson home with you! You can apply at www.humanetomorrow.org, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Moose is a 6-year old Rat Terrier. He is AKC registered, although we do not have his papers, and is up to date on all shots. He is a very good boy, and is easily trained when you spend time working with him on it. He is house-broken and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He is crate-trained, and waits for a command before going out of his crate or out of the door. He does not do well with small children or other animals, but has lived with other dogs, so may just need time to adjust to the other animals. He is very smart, sweet, and loving. He loves to run and play, and especially loves to swim and to snuggle under blankets. Apply today at milliesmutts.com

🌷🐶 ADOPT SHILOH 🐶🌷 Shiloh is such a silly little character! She is nervous with new situations and people she doesn't know, but once you're inside her "circle of trust", she transforms into a sweet, sassy, funny girl. Shiloh will do anything for a treat. You can teach her just about anything you like...as long as you have snacks! 😁 This adorable little girl is so athletic and fast! She learns very quickly, but she's young and thrives with consistency, structure, and reinforcement. She can be a bit skittish with sudden movements or noises, so we don't think small children will be the best fit for her. She is snuggly and fun and full of big personality in a tiny pup. She's looking for a family who wants to spend time with her. She loves to be with her people. Please consider adding Shiloh to your family. ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Meet Evie, a vibrant and joyful Jack Russell terrier mix, who at just 1 ½ years old and weighing about 37 lbs, is already capturing hearts. Evie's journey with Duck Team 6 began thanks to the dedication of a kind-hearted Good Samaritan and several attentive neighbors in a Lewisville community. After a month of being cared for and watched over, Evie gracefully waltzed right into one of our Duck Team 6 traps, marking the beginning of her new life. Evie has since been thriving in a loving foster home, surrounded by a warm-hearted family, four canine companions, and a revolving door of visiting dogs and children. She adores kids and forms deep bonds with her fellow furry friends, particularly her best pal, Skylar, as seen in her photo. Her foster mom describes Evie as exceptionally intelligent and quick to learn. Full of energy, she exhibits an athletic prowess, reveling in running, jumping, and playful escapades in the backyard. Evie would make an excellent partner for anyone with an active lifestyle and is looking for an enthusiastic exercise buddy. She's crate-trained and is working to improve her leash manners. But it's not all about play for Evie; she's also a cuddle enthusiast, cherishing moments spent snuggled up on the couch with her human friends. This sweet girl is eagerly awaiting her forever home where she can share her boundless love and zest for life. If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate companion, Evie might just be your perfect match. To learn more about Evie, please reach out to placement@duckteam6.org. Evie can't wait to meet her new family!     August 13, 2024, 10:19 pm

Story
Featured guest dog: zzRoscoe is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix who has not had owners who can keep him long enough to give him a true home. Because of that, he can be pretty stubborn and spicy, but is still willing to love and do his best to get accustomed to others. He was brought to a board and train because his owners did not know how to stop him from nipping them when they wanted him to do something he didn't want to do. He had been given a lot of privileges which caused him to be stuck in his ways, however during the board and train he learned that he cannot have privileges with that kind of behavior and disrespect. Now he is willing to learn, adjust, and accommodate people who are handling him, and he has been happy learning! We have seen how sweet, rambunctious, loving, and even tempered he actually is. He still likes to know that he can do his own thing, but he will listen to correction as well. zzRoscoe trained a month and adjusted accordingly. He now needs someone that knows how to treat a small dog with a big personality and a forever home. Transition lessons will be provided at no cost by his trainers. If you are interested in zzRoscoe and can give him the structure he needs in a permanent forever home, please fill out an application at pawsinthecity.orgDisclaimer: This dog is a participant in the Paws in the City Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by the foster, not by Paws in the City.

Story
Lady Bird is a 6 year old little female. She is a bouncy little Jack that loves to play. We have gotten all of her vet work done, and she is very healthy and energetic. She definitely needs a secure yard with a good fence so she can safely snoop around. No short chainlink. No electronic fencing. No wrought iron. She is crate trained and house trained. Lady Bird needs an energetic owner. Walking, jogging, throwing the ball, playing with a toy, running around in the yard and keeping the yard safe from critters are all things she really enjoys. Did I say that she loves toys?! That being said she does love to snuggle and be loved on. She also will do best as an only dog because she is like a jealous lover. Lady Bird does not want any competition for her owner’s attention. We are pretty sure that she will not do well with cats or other little critters…hamsters, parakeets, bunnies etc. If you are interested in Lady Bird please go to www.RussellRescue.com and fill out the online adoption application. A good vet reference and home visit are mandatory to adopt her. Our adopter must be able to drive to the Carrollton/Dallas, Texas area to get her. Her adoption fee is $325.
