Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocky My name is Rocky. I was abandoned when my owners moved away. I don't know why they left me behind. But fortunately, I was fortunate enough to be found by kind people who helped me get my life back on track. I am a healthy and strong 5.5-year-old who gets along well with other dogs. I'm looking for a nice couple or an adult to be my forever companion. Sorry, I'm not sure about kids, as they tend to scare me. I have been neutered, microchipped, and I am up-to-date on my vaccines. I also had a complete dental check-up on November 29th, 2023.  I'm currently in Washington, having moved here from California, and I'm eagerly waiting to find my forever family. Cheryl, the founder of the rescue that took care of me, says that I have dreamy eyes and a sweet personality. I'm also very intelligent. However, I may be a bit shy and nervous initially because of all the scary experiences I've had in my life. But if you're patient and gentle with me, I promise to be your BFF forever. I do tend to like woman more then men but if a couple adopts me, just give me the time I need to get to know the man of the home and we can be good buddies. The rescue organization that is helping me find my new home says that I need a patient and experienced person who understands that trust takes time to build. I don't give my love easily, but when I do, you'll have my whole heart. I growl at strangers in the home, but with fear-free training, patience, and love, I can learn to trust again. I'm a love bucket waiting to be filled with affection from my new companion. I trust women more than men, but I can learn to trust anyone who is kind and caring. How Can You Meet Rocky? Please use this link to apply, One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match  Rocky has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Rocky, he has a $550.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.       https ://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 6:06 pm

Story
Hi my name is Mango because I am sweet and tangy! I am so happy to see you looking at my profile. I love my foster home, but I am ready to find my forever home. I am a curious and fairly active girl. I walk well on a leash and am pretty calm when meeting other dogs on the walk. But a good introduction to new dogs is always the best. I live with many dogs now and get along with most of them really well. I have not lived with cats or young children but they could be fun. If you are looking for an active, sweet, and loving gal then just fill in the application we could meet on a Zoom call. Lots of love to giveMango To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
Hi, I am Shadow,They say that black dogs have a harder time getting adopted. I am not sure why because I think black is beautiful. I am an adult around 4 years old. I have lost all that puppy naughtiness, but I still love to play and cuddle and generally be a good girl. I will need some patience because I have a lot to learn when it comes to even the basics, but I am a quick study. Oh, and treats usually help with the learning. I am an active dog who would love to go for a good run every day. If you are a hiker, I think I would love that too. I am good with leash walking; I try not to pull and stay close to you. I like to play with other dogs once I am properly introduced. I haven’t been around children much and cats are made to be chased. Only my opinion! Right now, I spend most of my time outside because my foster mom works, but when I am inside, I know not to do any business in the house that is only for outside.I haven’t had many toys, I am content with a stick or a plastic bottle. Maybe you could teach me to chase a ball and bring it back to you. That would be fun!If it sounds like we could be a family together then just fill out the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Could I be your little,Shadow To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Handsome 10-year-old Jax will make an excellent companion to the person or persons who can help him feel safe. A purebred rat terrier weighing 25 lbs., Jax has been working on reducing his anxiety, which was likely caused by the discomfort of skin allergies, a manifestation of a cancerous mast cell tumor. With the tumor removed and Jax cancer free for over one year, his skin issues are now under control (although he must still avoid food containing chicken). Today Jax is a much happier dog, who likes sunning himself and also walking, jogging, and playing ball; physical activity, in turn, helps further reduce any residual anxiety. With proper introduction, Jax will even play nicely with new dogs, more quickly enjoying the company of smaller dogs, especially females. However, he can scuffle with any dog who ignores his body language or doesn't respect his space. He could easily be a single dog or live with one other dog who is independent or who at least honors boundaries. Due to his moderate prey drive, Jax shouldn't live with cats or other small pets.   Jax adjusts to new routines well and sticks close to his humans. He loves to cuddle but isn't really a lapdog. He's polite around new people if they're introduced in a positive way. However, he hates being picked up, and he'll defend that sentiment with his teeth and wouldn't enjoy being around children. Although he's no fan of crates, it's not really an issue, as he has impeccable house manners. He has never had an indoor potty accident, 'emptied' the trash, or counter surfed. Life has given this good boy a sensitive soul. If you nurture it, Jax will give you his heart. See more photos of Jax at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beau Background Beau came to us with all of his siblings from an animal hoarder's home in California. He is the last of his litter who needs a home. Beau is neutered and up to date. What Beau Needs Beau is a Jack Russell-Papillon mix, also known as a Papi-Jack. He is initially shy but warms up quickly to a sweet and loving 2-year-old boy. Beau needs a woman-only home as he is used to living with an all-female household and doesn't do well with men. He requires a yard for sunning and potty and prefers to have 1-2 dog friends to thrive, as he has had other dogs around him his entire life. Beau was rescued from a hoarding situation and is accustomed to being part of a larger dog group, so having a friend or two is critical to his wellbeing. If you're looking for a lover boy who wants to be with you everywhere, is super playful, and loves having a buddy dog to be close to, Beau is your boy. He has medium-long soft and silky fur coat and does best when he is kept well-groomed, brushed, and bathed. Beau just adores being clean and brushed and loves attention, being talked to, and hugged. He is housebroken but has also learned how to use a Peepad as a backup if needed.  Beau is intelligent, lovingly gentle, and protective. He becomes very close to his special person. Beau does become a watchdog if you have company, so he will need a nice quiet place he can retire to if you have guests and people he has not been properly introduced to in the home. He prefers to be around only 1-2 people and becomes a lap dog, hugger, and kisser once he knows he can trust his humans. Beau likes all small dogs he has met and has done well with a few older lab puppies we have brought in and engages them in play.  Beau is a healthy boy but needs a cat and a small animal-free home due to the prey drive of Jack Russells. He has cleaned the house of visiting mice and moles on the rescue property. How To Adopt Beau   Please use the link below to apply. One of our volunteers will review the application and call to follow up with questions, answer yours, and see if you are a match for this pup.  If it looks like a match can be made, then the next step is a meet and greet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.EUSTIS Background BEST LOYAL BUDDY EVER!! Eustis is a "designer" breed called a MinnieJack (miniature Pinscher-Jack Russell mix) who was locally relinquished by a mom of 5 kids and one on the way. She told us her children tortured the dog and he was left constantly trying to defend himself. Eustis needs a child-free home as he is now Terrified of children. What Eustis Needs                                                                                  A 100 percent child-free home.   This means, NO visiting kids of any kind, no grandchildren. JUST an adult-only home. He was terrorized, chased, and teased in his home and he resorted to snapping and biting to protect himself. In other words, Eustis needs a quiet, loving adult-only home without a lot of people coming and going and when there are visitors, he should be in a safe place until they are inside and settled and then proper introductions are made. Eustis loves to be very, very close to his person and likes the close physical contact, a lap, and sleeping with his person at nite. We are not sure if he is leash trained and may need to be trained to harness and lead in his new home. A secure, protected, unescapable fenced yard is a must.  It took me two weeks of sitting in a quiet room with Eustis. Once he learned to trust me, it was three slow days of interactions and then he was in my lap. Now he sleeps with me nightly and we cuddle during the day. Eustis just wants unconditional love and he returns it in spades.   A sweet, gentle souled woman who considers herself a dog whisperer would be the ideal adopter for Eustis. How To Adopt Eustis Eustis has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him.                To apply to adopt Eustis he has a $495.00  adoption fee.                                                                                All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. to meet and apply for Eustis, Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.                                    http s:/ / rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 6:06 pm
