SOOOOOO how many people remember Starsky and Hutch?? Probably not too many! But if you DO, please don't prejudice us with the "wildness" of our namesakes'! OK, we are a LITTLE wild and cute cute cute! Found in a neighborhood together at about 2-3 months old, we could have had a very different life.... however, we were found by a couple of high school boys who immediately drove us to the rescue to see if they would help at 5pm on a Friday evening. AND IT WORKED!!! We are a couple of cute boys, we are barkers and that is part of the breed- Rat Terriers are busy and smart and active and they bark! We are cute when we bark though :) We do not have to be adopted together, although we love each other and have been together our WHOLE lives.... but we can be adopted apart. We may be nervous at first if adopted separately but if you follow the 3/3/3 rule, it will take us time to adjust in our new home anyway!! (you will find a copy of the 3/3/3 rules in our medical record if you adopt one or both of us) We are waiting for the right family/families to come along and we hope that we find you or you find us soooonnnnn!! Animal Profile: Daisy is an estimated 6.5-year-old, 18 lb spayed female Papillon Rat mixed breed who was originally a stray intake to the Caddo Parish shelter in October and adopted, but then confiscated in April 2024 for neglect. She's doing much better now and has been assessed to be friendly with dogs and people. She joined Dog Gone Seattle foster care on 6/3 and we will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Daisy is a treat to have as a house guest! She is well-mannered, rarely barks, definitely wants to be with her people and sleeps and eats quietly in her crate. Our resident dog is a golden retriever and they are co-existing peacefully … unless a ball is involved. They are both very ball excitable and complete relentlessly for a thrown ball. Daisy is house trained and doing well on leash. She loves to go for walks but needs to work on control a bit (birds, squirrels, rabbits and other dogs are very exciting!). Consistency and repetition will go a long way in helping Daisy become the perfect walking companion. This little pup has been a delight to have as a foster. She interacts appropriately with my 5 year old grandson so homes with children will be considered. Daisy should do well with or without a dog companion. She's so ready to find a permanent, loving home where she can thrive. She is crate trained but has been quiet in the home and is loving all the other dogs, playing with the kids and enjoying the snuggle spots including couches and her little bed-spending long parts of the day lounging around the house. She is currently fostered with other dogs and is friendly but even though she is little, she keeps up in play sessions with the big dogs just fine! She isn’t any bigger than the house cat and keeps a respectful distance, she isn’t interested in chasing or pushing the boundary. Brekka could easily live peacefully with a feline friend. On top of that, she is house trained, using the doggy door like a champ, and should only needed a quick tour of the yard or neighborhood, to understand where to go. Thanks to her size and easy-going demeanor, Brekka is ready for anything from apartment life or house with a yard life.! I could see Brekka in a family home busy with kids and other dogs, or an entertaining companion for an individual or a fur-baby to a couple. Howie recently lost his owner. She doted on Howie and he was protective of her. He is a little gentleman. He is house trained and walks on a leash. Howie was not in a home with other animals. He would love to be an only, but I think he would adjust to having furry companions, too.He has not been around cats or children. Howie will have his vaccines updated prior to adoption. Meet Imp! She is lovely girl rescued by our team from High-kill shelter in Korea. She gave birth to his babies in the shelter. Behaviours from the previous foster: She is so gentle that she doesn’t bark at all and doensn’t have any aggressive behaviours. She loves walking and meeting her friends and She loves her hooman so much. She likes to be pat - especially on her butt – and always sleeps besides her hooman. She is doing her job out doors- moving her bowels. She is not a big fan of showering but she seems to bear it- She is so patient. We haven’t found any separation anxieties so far, She seems to be beyond happy when the owners come back home though. She is a little bit timid that she is afraid of some scary noise like vacuum cleaner, plastic bottle and so on. She has so much love in her. Be her loving family and she will be with you and adores you forever. Allergy/health issues: She has motion sickness.
