Story
Meet Dari❤️ Dari was brought to the Gimje Shelter with her six puppies. Despite having skin diseases all over her body, she took care of her babies but one of them passed away. With the cold winter coming soon, Adogs was very concerned about the health of Dari and her pippies, and urgently rescued them. * With People: Needs some time to warm up to strangers. Approaches when called but might get startled if you suddenly raise your hand. Feels more comfortable and gives her face to familiar people. * With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs at our center without any issues. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as she resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: May use potty pads but goes potty outside at our center. Training may be necessary in a new environment. * Hygiene: Accepts baths and nail trimming very well. Dislikes dry blowing but tolerates it when she is cuddled. * Walks: Is undergoing training to get accustomed to walks. No pulling on the leash. * Car Sickness: Rides in the car very well without motion sickness. ❗Health Status❗ * Spayed. * Microchipped. * She is diagnosed with parasitic skin disease and is receiving treatment. It's not contagious! * Her fur is growing back after losing it due to her skin disease.

Story
Debonair 11-year-old Jax is an active and smart boy who will be a wonderful companion for the right family! Jax is a 25 lb. rat terrier.  He is in excellent physical condition after beating cancer (a mast cell tumor on his belly).  Jax loves sunning himself, walking, jogging, playing with stuffed animals, and chasing a ball. He gets along well with small dogs he's introduced to in his home environment. He has been very nice to his foster siblings but can be protective of his space and might correct another dog who touches or steps on him with a yowl and small snap. Jax would be fine as a single dog or with a respectful smaller dog.  Jax should not live with cats or other small pets. He does also have a bit of anxiety which has been greatly reduced with a stable schedule and increased exercise.  Jax barks at the door when he needs to go out and is perfectly housetrained. He can be trusted to be free indoors and doesn't get into the trash, counter surf, or chew items. Jax might have a tough exterior, but he has a soft, loving heart for someone who is willing to take the time to understand him.See more photos of Jax at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jax .Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Beautiful brown-eyed Cedar is as pretty as they come. Weighing close to 15 lbs., 8-year-old Cedar enjoys being mellow most of the time, napping in the sun, daily short walks, and most importantly exploring her fenced-in backyard. Cedar comes from a breeding situation, where she had limited positive interactions with humans, so she's shy and very skittish. Taking things very slowly and giving her time to warm up (along with lots of treats), she'll be your new best friend asking for attention and ready for belly rubs. Since Cedar startles easily, she prefers walking in quiet areas where she won't encounter a lot of strangers, loud noises, or dogs. Also, a securely fenced-in yard is a must and having a dog-door is even better. It has become clear that Cedar trusts women much more than men and will need to have a woman as her primary person. She loves her foster dad but only when her foster mom is home. She does have some separation anxiety, so she is looking for a woman who either works from home or is retired. Cedar currently sleeps well in her crate every night but would probably love sleeping with her person once she feels safe.Cedar has gotten along well with the other six dogs in her foster homes, relying on them for comfort and joining in at barking at the wildlife. She has also done very well with the two cats in her foster home. She doesn't often play with her foster siblings but does readily snuggle up to dogs and humans alike. Cedar would do best living with at least one other considerate, gentle dog.  Cedar has a wonderful personality, is a fairly low-maintenance dog and has been a joy to her foster family. She's also as cute as a button and she loves blankets especially when they are just out of the warm dryer! Story
Sweet Pixie is an adorable, tiny rat terrier mix at only 5 lbs.! Since moving in with her foster, Pixie has adjusted to life in the Pacific Northwest well and is ready for her forever home! Pixie is estimated to be 1 year-old and is very shy with humans. However, she loves other dogs and will play and run around for hours when she is in the company of a friendly and playful dog. For this reason, she would do best in a home with at least one canine sibling. She'd likely be good with cats or smaller animals as long as there are other dogs present since she often follows the lead of other dogs.   With little Pixie you can have it all -- she is young and puppy-like but she is also full house-trained and well-mannered! If you can provide the stable family that Pixie so craves, please apply to give her a new life and a forever home today. Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 4:36 pm
