Story
This beautiful girl was dropped off in a small town in TN. People were threatening to shoot her, so a good Samaritan brought her in to be fixed and see if we could find her a good home. He is fostering her for us while we look but we would like to move fast as this dog is such a good girl and she deserves the best home! Bonnie is very sweet, eager to learn and wants so much to please you. She even smiles at you when you talk to her. We have brought her up to date on all her shots, spayed her, got her a microchipped. Now all she needs is YOU. Won't you please consider adopting this beautiful girl? Just click on the big black button to "Ask About Her" She is in TN but no worries because we use the most animal friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They transport every weekend alternating between the Midwest and the Northeast.

Story
Mr. Handsome, known to his friends as Red, is in search of his forever people. This boy is stunning. Pictures do not do his gorgeous red colored coat justice. But he is not all about looks, this pup is one of the most well mannered boys you'll meet. He is eager to please and loves his people. He is great on leash and continuing his education on basic obedience. He is a grand champion snuggler and will greet you with sweet kisses. Red is currently about 6 months old and 40 pounds. He is neutered and current on age appropriate vaccinations. We guarantee you will love this boy the moment you meet him. This dog's adoption fee is $450. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

This sweet gal came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. Kitana is now ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Kitana is a bundle of joy, eager to explore the world and share her love with everyone she meets. She does great with other dogs and would enjoy a playmate, or two. At Kitana's young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. Adopt Kitana and let her fill your life with the warmth and happiness she so readily gives.  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
Ranger, approximately 1 year old and 35 pounds, is a people-friendly pup who enjoys the company of kids, even as young as 9. He plays harmoniously with dogs of various ages and sizes, ranging from 1 to 11 years old and 30 to 125 pounds. While not particularly interested in the barn cat, his compatibility with household cats is uncertain. Accustomed to cattle and horses, he generally ignores them. Overnight, he comfortably sleeps in his crate, displaying affection for it. Together with his brother, they relish porch swing evenings, engaging in activities like chasing balls and wrestling. Ranger understands basic commands but requires some leash and recall training, typical of a puppy. His strong hound instincts make him motivated by treats, and he's a resilient survivor, rescued in Texas after being abandoned. Ideally, he and his brother find a home together, but separate adoptions are also possible. He’s anxiously awaiting transport from Texas to his furever or foster home up north!  DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake. ***MOST OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS, BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).  Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate and transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, spay/neuter for dogs 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport. Story
Sweetheart who loves the new life she's been exposed to. We have a temp spot for her but they have a lot of dogs and mom has to start working on-site instead of at-home. She was a little howly at first, but now that she is used to the new smells and sights, that has pretty much stopped. For the pic with the ketchup bottle, her foster mom state, "Sadie did a drive by to see if we would share our lunch, but we ignored her and said no gently, and she walked off." She is a little bit of a kleptomaniac. Likes to steal a piece of clothing or a shoe and sleep with it. Other than that, she has proven to be an easy foster. Please consider helping her.
