Story
Great dog just need a new home. He would really benefit from a single owner who can take him for long walks. Very loving but he has a habit of chasing our kids and knocking them over and this has been an issue so a house without young children would be better. He is not an aggressive or mean dog just has the natural instinct to want to run and catch things that are running. He really needs a person who will walk him daily and take him down trails and hikes.

Story
Bucee is a chill, confident, and happy boy in search of his forever home. He loves welcoming new people and with new dogs with joyful barks. As with most rescue dogs, he needs a bit of time to adjust in a new home. He is very popular with female dogs and neutered male dogs like him (intact male dogs become territorial with him). His energy levels range from medium to high but he is easily trainable and tends to remain calm inside the house. To release his energy, he needs a backyard where he can run and play with chewy toys. His foster mom crates him at night, and he usually sleeps there without any issues. Rescue story: Bucee was found abandoned in Houston. His foster family believes that he used to belong to someone and was dropped off in a popular dumping area a few days before he was rescued. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ:  •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.  •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.    •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Sandy Paws Rescue’s MA license number # 0272 ##2335218##
