Story

Dancer is a rescue. She was about 3 months old when we got her. She will be a year in September. She was frightened by everything - collar, leash, water hose, almost anything new. She is a sweet dog and has gotten more comfortable with us. She will let me hug and pet her. We tried taking her to the dog park today. She walked happily up to the outside gate and then freaked out. We have a husky who is about a year older than Dancer. It took Dancer awhile, but now they rough house and play with each other, share the food and water bowl. Sometimes she will get possessive about a toy or bone. Here at the house she is good with the husky, children and adults who come to visit. She likes to jump up, but is learning not to. Anything new frightens her until she learns it won't hurt her. She just needs some loving and patience. She is a good guard/watch dog. Hears every noise and barks to alert you. She needs to get comfortable with you before introducing her to other pets, etc.
