Story
Got him as a puppy, he grew up with another older dog and a cat, older dog passed away and the cat is longer no longer in his life, my ex no longer wanted him and forced him on me I cannot take care of him due to being in the military, he’s house trained and very intelligent. Very scared of other new dogs or people so taking care of him and being experienced is a must! Once he gets to know people or other animals he’s okay just walking him he is very protective of his family when it comes to strangers! Very easily can be trained and SUPER loving and cuddly he is a lazy dog at times and just sleeps next to you all day long. Is used to apartment lifestyle so a big backyard is something new to him that I’m sure he would finally love!

Click Here to Sponsor Me!  Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed.org/adoption-application   ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet.                                   Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed.org/adoption-process  At 1 year old and approx 73lbs, Sterling is a handsome Doberman with a story of resilience.  Rescued from a shelter with only hours left to live, Sterling’s journey has only begun. Despite his rough start, including cuts on his face from kennel stress and the scars of a past as a backyard breeder’s castoff, his spirit remains unbroken.   Sterling’s cropped ears and docked tails are just remnants of his past life. He is sweet and seeks comfort from the volunteers that are able to take him out for walks. Though he may flinch at fast movements or loud sounds, Sterling’s determination shows though while learning to trust and feel secure.  His ideal home will have an experienced handler that will provide the patience, love and consistency that he requires while working through his bashful nature.   If you’re looking to add a loyal companion to your family and help Sterling rewrite his rough past, apply at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html  November 3, 2024, 7:15 pm

Click Here to Sponsor Me!  Adoption APPLICATION: Muttsinneed.org/adoption-application   ** Application must be completed prior to a meet & greet.                                   Our Adoption Process:Muttsinneed.org/adoption-process  This is 3 year old Doberman, Penelope. She’s approx 65lbs and she sat in a high kill shelter (along with Sterling who is also available for adoption) for a month before we pulled her.  Unfortunately Penelope is the result of backyard breeders being greedy and dumping her when no longer needed. Shelter notes stated that she was pregnant when surrendered and birthed all 9 puppies within shelter walls only to have them euthanized due to lack of space.   Despite the grief she’s been through, Penelope’s kindness shows through. She is accepting of meeting new people with a gentle demeanor however will need slow introductions with new dogs.  Her ideal family will be understanding of Penelope’s journey and create a safe haven of space for her. They’ll be patient of introductions to new surroundings, take her on walks and celebrate her small victories as she builds more confidence and learns to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.   If you’d like to add Penelope to your family, please apply at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlNovember 3, 2024, 7:15 pm
