Hi, I'm Clifford, and I'm one and a half years old. Unfortunately, my previous owners didn't feel the need to keep me anymore and just let me go. Fortunately, I stumbled across another family who loved me dearly. Still, they could not keep me due to circumstances that caused them to surrender me to DHS. I'm a strong yet well-trained rotwiller mix with a lovely black and brown coat. I'm a very well-mannered pup who can sit, give handshakes, and wait to eat. OH, and let me tell ya, I LOVE to eat, snack, and be given treats. With how much I love to munch, I also love to go on walks daily, which helps balance his eating habits. Sadie is a very sweet girl that was found as a stray in rural Stockton. She can be a bit timid at first, but quickly rolls over for belly rubs once she gets to know you. Since she was a stray we don't know too much about her, but we think she is about 1 1/2 years old based on her teeth. It doesn't appear that she has been leash trained, but she is still young enough to train and we think she will be a smart girl. The person who found her said that she rides very well in the car and didn't make a peep. Once she is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, she will be ready to go home for an adoption fee of $300.00. Bandit is a sweet senior who wants nothing more than your love. He is the perfect combination of sweet and shy that makes your heart melt. While his pictures make him look big, he is actually a pocket sized rottweiler mix at about 55 pounds. He loves his trusted humans unconditionally and wants to shadow you whenever he can. Bandit is guaranteed to add lots of love, kisses and cuddles to your life. Where there is warmth you will find Bandit; warmth from the sun, from a heater, from a fur friend or from a human. He sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog and will plop himself on your lap for a nap, taking comfort in being with his human. He is crate-trained, fully house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is highly treat motivated and is learning in foster care to do things like sit, lay down, stay, be a gentleman, and wait. Bandit has lived with small dogs, dogs his size, adult men, and adult women and has done well with all. He does take a moment to warm up to new people, sounds, and places. Bandit has a few health issues going on that sometimes impact his behavior. He has hip dysplasia, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, and early stage kidney disease. While 99% of the time Bandit is an absolute sweetheart, if any of his medication is off, if he overdoes his physical exercise, or if he is feeling anxious he may growl or snap. Because of this, Bandit should only be adopted by an experienced dog handler. Bandit is currently on thyro-tabs, joint supplements, and anti-anxiety medication. Loves treats just doesn't want to work for them in a toy.
