Mariel was dumped in a box unable to walk. After a few months of exercise and good nutrition she is walking on her own. She doesn't walk all the time but is getting stronger everyday. She does have a cart she uses to help strengthen her legs and that will go with her. She is keeping her crate clean and trying to make it outside to potty. She can get herself downstairs but still needs helping getting up.

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! You guessed it, we named her Sweetie because she is so deserving of that name, too sweet and loving. This 5 year old young girl just wants to be loved and hang around you, she craves human attention and I am giving her all I can. But she has to share with the other foster dogs here. Sweetie is good about sharing and happy to live with her foster siblings big and small. She gets along with everything and everyone. I do not have cats so I do not know about them. Sweetie weighs 56 pounds right now but she was thinner when I got her. She needs to put on a few more pounds but she is a petite size Rottweiler. Sweetie came to my attention by some out of town visitors, she kept going into the hotel they were staying and laying on the cool floor. We are in San Antonio, Texas and we are having a very hot summer. The visitors fed her for a few days and reached out to me for help. Before I could get over there to get her, ACS, our very high kill shelter picked her up . Turns out Sweetie had a microchip so ACS contacted her owners to pick her up, they never came and Sweetie ended up on death row simply because he owners abandoned her. I immediately pulled her from the facility and brought her into my home. She was confused at first and didn't know how to act but it was clear that she really appreciated the love and attention, she gobbled it up. Sweetie has adjusted and really ready for her own home. Sweetie is spayed, vaccinated, rabes, dewormed and microchipped under my rescue and healthy. She has a lot more life to live, can you be her hero? Her medical records will come with her. Thank you.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!!! Meet Max, 3.5 years old, weighs 88 lbs, he has a beautiful shinny coat and a total sweetheart heart. Max is a mild and mellow gentlemen who just wants a family or single person to be his buddy. His activity level is normal but he loves to go on works and play around. He walks very well on a leash, does not pull, he is happy to just enjoy getting out. He has been around teenagers and adults. Max is very well behaved, takes treats very gently, knows how to sit and give you his paw. He is quiet and very low maintenance. I cannot say enough good things about this boy.I listed that his attitude is unknow towards dogs because he has not been around other dogs that often and when he did a family member brought over there dog and Max got jealous when the dog tried to get too much loving from the owner. As far as cats go, Max has been around them and ignored them but he has also showed interest in them and gone after them but not in a threatening way. Max needs a new home because his owners are working more hours and leaving Max to occupy himself for long hours. Once they get home, Max goes to the door, gets his leash and lets them know he wants to go for a walk. Max is completely house trained and potty trained. He can be left in the house along, he has never been crated and there is no need to confine him. This guy is obedient.I can provide other pictures of him.He is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartowrm negaitve. His medical records will come with him at the time of adoption. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.We would like to welcome RAY to our group of Rottweiler lovers.  This beautiful boy is 9 months old and 93 pounds and will probably weigh at least 120 pounds as an adult.  This happy guy loves to meet new people and he is a puppy playful guy who loves to have treats but mainly like all Rottweilers he likes to be in your company getting love from you.  He is a true full blooded/upre breed Rottweiler.  Walks great on the leash and loves to hang his head out of the door while riding in the car. Ray's temperament is so great that it makes him a wonderful family pet, of course he does not realize how big and strong he is but he absolutely loves to play with kids.  He even knows a few commands if he will pay attention and not continue to try to engage you in playing with him.  Please be aware that Ray is an indoor dog and has the manners to be inside.  He is a goofy and calm boy who is looking for a loving home. Ray's tail is docked but he has huge dewclaws that the vet was not able to remove because they are connected to the bone but that does not slow him down, just a cosmestic thing.  He is in great health. If you are interested in adopting Ray, please submit an application on the website below.  More pictures are available.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Meet Maui, a handsome 7 years young neutered male boxer/terrier mix, weighing about 65 lbs! Maui's story is a sad one. He was taken from a home in east TN due to neglect after it was discovered that the teenager in the home was killing small animals for fun Fortunately, he was taken into rescue and has been doing amazingly well in foster care! He is now ready to find his furever home, where he will be safe and loved for the rest of his days. Maui is a very sweet, friendly boy who is good with EVERYONE! He does great with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. From Maui's current foster: "Maui is an AMAZING dog. Very polite, fully housebroken, a non-jumper, laid back but also loves to play. He will be a great loyal family dog." Apply to meet this special boy today!  Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2251459##
