Story
Adam is a 2 yr old, Rottweiler mix, he is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Adam is a playful and affectionate dog with much energy. He has a charming personality that really shines when he plays with his toys (he likes the squeak). However he can be frightened of loud noised and is leery of men. A calm home that is willing to let him open up in his own time would be best, and a home with children over the age of 10yrs old is recommended for Adam. He would do best in a home without cats, and will need basic obedience training as well as leash work. For more information on Adam please fill out an adoption application located on our website aws-shelter.org or please call us @ 860-354-1350.

Nala moved to a new foster home a few days ago and she's doing great! She gets on well with both of the other dogs in the home, and all humans. 💖 She is a sweet, submissive dog who will do well in a home with children steady on their feet - 10+ years old - she's a big girl - a gentle giant! 🥰 She needs to be spayed and have gastropexy surgery (both done at once) and then she'll be all set to find a wonderful forever home. If you live in Connecticut - especially if you have experience with Rottweilers, please apply to adopt! https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! You guessed it, we named her Sweetie because she is so deserving of that name, too sweet and loving. This 5 year old young girl just wants to be loved and hang around you, she craves human attention and I am giving her all I can. But she has to share with the other foster dogs here. Sweetie is good about sharing and happy to live with her foster siblings big and small. She gets along with everything and everyone. I do not have cats so I do not know about them. Sweetie weighs 56 pounds right now but she was thinner when I got her. She needs to put on a few more pounds but she is a petite size Rottweiler. Sweetie came to my attention by some out of town visitors, she kept going into the hotel they were staying and laying on the cool floor. We are in San Antonio, Texas and we are having a very hot summer. The visitors fed her for a few days and reached out to me for help. Before I could get over there to get her, ACS, our very high kill shelter picked her up . Turns out Sweetie had a microchip so ACS contacted her owners to pick her up, they never came and Sweetie ended up on death row simply because he owners abandoned her. I immediately pulled her from the facility and brought her into my home. She was confused at first and didn't know how to act but it was clear that she really appreciated the love and attention, she gobbled it up. Sweetie has adjusted and really ready for her own home. Sweetie is spayed, vaccinated, rabes, dewormed and microchipped under my rescue and healthy. She has a lot more life to live, can you be her hero? Her medical records will come with her. Thank you.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 7, 2024, 5:10 am

Story
This dog is not with Spotty Dog Rescue. We are posting him as a courtesy to help him find a home. Please email karolina.a.nunez@gmail.com or call 347-266-6991 for more information.  Austin is a beloved pet whose family circumstances have changed and they have to make the hearbreaking decision to rehome him. His elderly grandmother is moving in and cannot be around dogs due to her health status. Austin is a 1.5 year old happy, healthy dog who was rescued from Tennessee when he was 6 months old and has been with his family since that time. He is fully housebroken, loves his people and especially loves his kids. Austin has never been around cats so we don't know how he would be with them. His family did have a hamster who would be held and placed in the exercise ball around him and he ignored him.  Austin loves going on walks, he loves to run in the yard and play catch with his ball. If anyone is getting in the car, he wants to jump right in and he will sit peacefully enjoying every ride. It is one of his favorite things to do!  Overall he is an amazing companion and listens very well. If you can help this family out and feel that you can give him the home he is looking for, please reach out to his mom. Thank you! ##2269231##

Story
Apply for Baxter!   Hey there, wonderful people! I'm Baxter, your friendly neighborhood Boxer and Great Dane mix, and I'm 4 years old, weighing in at a hefty 105lbs! Picture a giant teddy bear in dog form, and that’s me. I've got all my vaccines, a snazzy microchip, and, well, let's just say I've been "neutered." I first made my debut with ASTDR as an adorable little pup, and now I’m back on the hunt for a new forever family. I'm a bit bummed, but when life throws curveballs, I’m here to catch them with my big slobbery grin!   Now, let me share what makes my tail wag!   Honestly, I love just about everything. Car rides? Count me in! Long walks? Absolutely, I'm all about that life. I’m super playful, always ready to zoom around like I’m in the Indy 500. Tug of war? I’m the reigning champ. Fetch? I’ll keep going until the cows come home—or until I decide to herd them! I’m a bundle of joy, and I’ve got a knack for sensing when things get a bit gloomy. If you’re feeling down, I’ll be right there for a snuggle to make everything better. Who needs a therapist when you’ve got me?   I’m a social butterfly and get along wonderfully with everyone—dogs, cats, and kids! I once lived with a kitty and adored him, though he didn’t quite return the affection. Kids are a blast too, but since I'm a big guy, I’d do best in a home with older kids who can handle my playful energy.   I’m dreaming of finding my true forever family—bringing me into your life is a decision you won’t regret! Apply for Baxter! ##2265422##
