Moose Tracks is a big baby and definitely a gentle giant! He needs a little help getting into the car, but he quickly learns to jump in and out with practice. Once he's in, he rides calmly in the car. He loves a pup cup from Starbucks and enjoys all the treats and toys in the play yard, from balls to stuffies. On the leash, Moose Tracks doesn’t pull much, especially for his size, though he’ll give a little tug every now and then. He does better with a harness during longer walks and often turns to "check in" with you, showing his thoughtful nature. He doesn’t love baths, but he tolerates them well and gets through them like a champ. On a recent outing, he was curious about a small dog on the other side of the fence but wasn’t reactive. While out at All Pet's Considered and the arboretum, he barks back at larger dogs when they bark at him first, but he’s otherwise calm and friendly. Moose Tracks is an affectionate and friendly guy who loves to seek pets from everyone he meets, whether it's employees at Lowe’s or a friendly neighbor on the street. His pictures don't do him justice—he’s even more charming in person! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!

Meet Skut, a smart, affectionate boy who’s ready to find his forever home. Skut is a quick learner and already knows how to sit on command, impressing everyone with his intelligence. He has a gentle, loving nature and enjoys showering his humans with affection. Skut loves to play fetch and will happily chase after a ball for hours, showcasing his playful side. Skut has a friendly and outgoing personality, doing well in public settings. Recently, he was spotted greeting people in a store with huge tail wags, showing how much he enjoys meeting new faces. While he may jump up to greet people initially, he’s easily redirected and quickly settles down. Skut walks fairly well on a leash with only mild pulling, making him a great companion for leisurely strolls. Although Skut is generally a brave boy, he can be a little head shy and timid around quick movements toward his head. He may also be scared when first entering a car, but with time and patience, he settles down and adjusts. Above all, Skut absolutely loves affection and will be your loyal cuddle buddy once he feels comfortable in his new home. If you're looking for a smart, loving companion who enjoys playtime and snuggles, Skut may be the perfect fit for you! BRANDI is ready for her forever home! She is about 72LBs, sweet and friendly once she warms up and feels comfortable. She is selective with dogs and prefers male dogs. We think she would do best in a home with just one adult or with a couple. Brandi is a great dog, but needs some training and exercise, and a safe place to call her own. Decompression time and a routine is really going to help this girl shine. She will make a great companion for someone with Rottie experience. Brandi is a 3 year old with a docked tail.
