Story
Bonnie is a delightful 8-month-old Rottweiler Shepherd mix with a heart full of love! This sweet girl is incredibly friendly and loves giving kisses to everyone she meets. She's also very cuddly and enjoys snuggling up for some quality bonding time. While she can be a little timid when entering new environments, she quickly opens up with a little encouragement and some tasty treats. As a young puppy, Bonnie is still working on her leash skills and would benefit from some training, but she's eager to learn and please. Bonnie absolutely loves to play, especially outdoors, and would make a fantastic companion for an active family. With her loving nature and playful spirit, Bonnie is truly an amazing girl looking for her forever home! Bonnie is a delayed adoption which means she is ready to head to her forever home, however, she remains our responsibility medically until she has had her spay surgery. She will have continuous weekly check-in appointments here at our shelter until her spay has been completed at our spay and neuter clinic. Because of the delayed adoption, we are look for adopters that are local or very close to the Barrie Area. If you are interested in adopting Bonnie please feel free to reach out to us at barrie@ontariospca.ca or call us at 705-728-7311 EXT.6. Our Dog Adopter Profiles can be found at https://ontariospca.ca/adopt/adoption-process-and-fees/ and our adoption fee for dogs is $585, for puppies $685. This includes their base vaccinations, rabies vaccine, flea and tick treatment, microchip, their spay/neuter surgery, and some food from Royal Canin to help with the transition. Story
Choi is one strong guy! Most of the time he is tough and determined, but once he accepts you into his circle he is a real cuddle bear. He is so very loyal. Choi enjoys spending his days doing lots of tricks for treats, playing ball, and getting all the pets he can. Sometimes he'll even sit on your lap! When we first rescued Choi he had no leash manners or training. His reactivity and protective behaviour was very intense. Throughout the months of working with him we have seen a huge change in Choi. He is extremely food motivated and enjoys structure. He would benefit from someone who is active, has experience with dogs of his demeanor, and will have the time to continue his training long term. Choi would do best in an adult only home with no other pets, in a quiet environment. He can still be reactive towards dogs, vehicles, and strangers at times. Choi could go to a home with teens depending on the family's experience as a whole.

Story
Handsome, Athletic, Playful Geno is a friendly young pup who is excited to say hello to everyone he meets. He came to us from a local shelter where he was found stray. We are uncertain of his breeding but maybe some Rottie, Hound, Bernese or Boxer but regardless he is a handsome friendly guy who loves people, to grab his leash and go for a walk or to play with his stuffy toys. ABOUT GENO:- Approximately 1.5 year old neutered male weighing 35.5kg (78lbs)- Playful and energetic young dog who will make a wonderful companion with some basic training - Ready to learn new things and to please his forever family- Microchipped and up to date on his core vaccinationsGENO’S IDEAL HOME:- Active family prepared to invest in his basic training and regular daily exercise including leash walks and fun activities- A home with direct access to a yard would be ideal so he can run and play and expend some energy- We are not recommending Geno for a home with cats, small animals or young children (under 12 years) because he hasn’t been tested and he can be quite jumpy when excitedIf you are looking for a friendly companion and are committed to furthering his training, please submit an online application as that is the first step in our adoption process. If you have questions about Geno reach out to his adoption coordinator at:Jenc.ehs@gmail.com
