She was surrendered to us after a tough start, coming from an abusive situation along with her friend Raggs, who luckily got pulled by another rescue. Sadly, all the Rottweiler rescues were full, but that didn’t stop Riches from showing us just how amazing she really is.She’s a total goofball when it comes to squeaky toys – I mean, who can resist those? And she’s a huge fan of sniffaris, which are basically just walks where she gets to sniff around and explore at her own pace. It’s one of the ways she’s learning to feel more comfortable in the world. Plus, she LOVES pets. She’s all about that cozy, snuggly life once she knows you’re cool.We recently took her on a Dog Day Out to Landa Park, and it was eye-opening! We found out she’s actually a pretty shy girl, which makes sense given her past. She’s still learning to trust and understand the world around her, but she’s definitely making progress.Riches is looking for someone who can be patient with her while she continues to open up. She’s got so much love to give – she just needs the right person to show her that she’s safe. Xena just turned 1 years old in February. We love her dearly but we feel like she’d be better off in a home with more active owners. I am also unemployed and cannot keep up with her expenses. Xena is very bubbly and is a good friend. She would make a great service dog with professional training. Every time I cry with her in the room, she’ll come cuddle me to comfort me. She loves playing with other dogs but you must feed her separately from them, as she likes to steal and fight over food.

Story

Makeda is the sweetest dog with personality, attentiveness, warmth and playfulness. I adopted her from a shelter in July of 2024 when I was only working part time. Since mid-February I have transitioned to full-time and I do not like the crate her for so long during the day. I don't think it's fair to her. She loves snacks, hugs, face cream, a good brushing, does well at doggy day care & is sometimes used as the barometer to test the temperament of other dogs in order to play. She is a great dog guard. She would be perfect for someone who is retired, works part time or works from home. She needs work in the area of dog walking, as she is playful and pulls sometimes while walking her. She normally uses the bathroom in the yard and I pick up after her, on walks she does not use the bathroom. She's only done that once while camping. She's a good girl and my hope is that she would go to a good home with an owner or family who will really love and take care of her. :)
