*Roscoe's Adoption Fee Is $0* That Means A Generous Donor Paid For His Adoption Fee! Very Gentle, Doesn't Drool, Doesn't Jump If you are looking for a whole lot of love, Roscoe is your guy! Roscoe is an 11 year old, 90-pound Rottweiler mix who is just looking for someone to lavish all of his affection upon. His favorite thing is being close to people; Roscoe is a leaner, a snuggler, and a lap pup – if you let him. If not, he is content to relax by your feet or on a dog bed nearby. Roscoe knows sit and lie down, takes treats gently, is not possessive and is tolerant of handling and responds well to direction. He's becoming quite a mellow walker - stays by your side or slightly ahead and doesn't pull unless he needs to find a place to 'do his business.' Only speeds up when he sees 'home' as he's probably excited to take a nap - all retirees deserve a nap after a walk! He absolutely loves water! He lays in the puddles we have sometimes or the pools we have in the play yard. He is a happy guy who has years of affection to give. Roscoe would love for you to come and say hi! While he doesn't like other adult dogs, Roscoe seems to really like puppies. Nothing but curiosity, tail wags, and sniffs. He has some some meet and greets through fencing with puppies, and even an encounter without any barrier, apart from an owner, and volunteer. If he can tolerate a puppy, that might be his best bet to growing up with another dog, and gaining/maintaining a healthy friendship! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
