Story
SophieAnn Grace is a 4 year old poodle mix that weighs approximately 13 pounds. She was found as a stray on the streets super scared of humans and very very timid. She is still very unsure about being loved on and petted by humans. Occasionally, she will allow you to get her on a leash if you can trap her in the corner of a room and that is when she will become docile and allow you to gently pet her sometimes but is not very keen on being picked up just yet. She unfortunately lived on the streets as a feral dog all of her life and thus, is very scared of humans at the moment and will become defensive if she feels threatened or startled. SophieAnn needs someone who will be patient with her and allow her to adjust in her own time to human contact and love. She is amazing with other calm and well mannered dogs but just still very timid about humans, especially those she does not know well. SophieAnn Grace needs another calm dog in the house to play with and teach her how to be a dog as well as show her that human love is okay. She enjoys running around outside on grass but currently does not play with toys. SophieAnn is very food motivated and loves raw carrots and peanut butter! She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and is heart worm negative. SophieAnn can't wait to find her furever family that is willing to slowly work with her and show her that humans are the best fur-parents ever! Adoption fee is: waived to the right family ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs. EIN # 46-5486022

Story
Hello there, I'm Princess. I am a 11 year old, nineteen pound Miniature Poodle being fostered in the Houston area. Don't let my age fool you, I've still got plenty of pep in my step. I'm the sweetest gal you'll ever meet, always ready with a friendly wag of my tail. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling up next to someone who loves me. I'm loyal to a fault, always sticking by my person's side. And I'm no fool, I can figure out puzzles in no time. Oh, and I get along with other dogs just fine. I've been told I'm the total package. I may be in my golden years, but I have so much love left to give. If you're looking for a faithful friend, a cuddle buddy, and a smart companion, then I'm your girl. Adopt me and let's make some beautiful memories together. Princess is being treated for heartworms. This is a treatable disease and treatment is covered by the rescue. She is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and just had a dental. Adoption fee is waived to the right home ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Story
Rascal is a charming 4-year, 8-month-old poodle mix who weighs 36 pounds and is full of personality. His journey began as a stray, but he’s now ready to find his forever home, thanks to Camo Rescue. This fluffy companion is potty trained, knows basic commands, and is mostly a joy to walk on a leash—though his excitement might occasionally lead to a little pulling. Rascal’s playful spirit shines through his love for toys; he’s rarely seen without one in tow, happily carrying it wherever he goes. Rascal is a social pup who enjoys the company of other dogs and adores spending time outside. However, once he settles into a home, Rascal tends to become protective of his space and person. He prefers a quiet lifestyle and isn’t a fan of visitors—be they human or animal—when his person is around. Because of this, Rascal would thrive in a low-traffic home as the only dog, ideally with a single person or a couple who can provide him with the stability and love he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, toy-loving companion who’s happiest with a small, devoted circle, Rascal might just be the perfect fit for you! Adoption fee is: $200 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Hi, my name is Underdog, affectionately named by the manager of the trailer park where I was abandoned in San Antonio. I had an owner and I was very loyal to him. However, he moved out and gave me to his friend. Unfortunately, his friend got evicted and wasn’t so nice and just left me behind to fend for myself. I liked to follow the kids in the trailer park around. They were very nice to me. I would walk them to the bus in the morning and then lay in the streets waiting for them to come home. I would greet them at the bus stop and follow them to their homes. I didn’t have a regular meal schedule and appreciated anyone who gave me food, which was mostly table food. The manager did bring me a doghouse, but I preferred to lay out in the street. The manager was worried I might get hit by and with the weather getting colder, so she contacted CAMO Rescue to help me. A nice lady came to pick me up. And took me to her house. I was covered with dirt and fleas. She gave me some medicine to get rid of the bugs and gave me a nice warm bath. The water was brown as it ran over my thin body. The soap and gentle scrubbing, felt really good. She took me for a walk to make sure that all the bugs were gone and to dry off. She also gave me a haircut to remove some mats in my fur. I felt so much better She brought me in her home where I met her other dogs. They wanted to play, but I was not so interested She didn’t know I was already house trained so she put a belly band on me just in case I tried to pee in the house. She didn’t know I was already a good houseguest and went to the back door when I needed to go out to do my business. I quickly learned how to use her doggie door and was able to go in and out by myself. I slept in a crate at her house for the first two nights and after that, I’ve been sleeping in her bed ever since. I like it when she lifts up the covers and I go all the way to the bottom y the foot of the bed to keep warm. Sometimes in the morning I like to sleep in. But when I wake up, I go right outside and do my business. Then it’s time for breakfast. I am a good boy who enjoys gentle pets and a good cuddle. I like to go on walks but pull on the leash a little bit because I’m so excited to see the next new adventure. I also like going for car rides. I have been around toddlers and the kids at the trailer park. I’m not much of a ball player so stuffy toys are just fine with me. I also occasionally get the zoomies and can outrun the young pups. I am a young 8 year-old and weigh about 15 pounds. I had all my vetting done, including a dental where they had to pull a few teeth and remove a tiny pencil eraser size growth from my right side. I am heartworm negative and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I even have pro heart 12 on board which means I am good on heartworm prevention for one year. I do have very mild seizures once in a while, but I’m not on any medication. I just get a little dazed for a few minutes and then I’m OK. I am looking for my forever home where I can cuddle with you, gaze into your eyes and give and receive lots of love. My foster mom tells me I am a very good boy one of the best dogs she’s ever has. Adoption fee $250 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Story
Enzo James is a 9 month old golden doodle who weighs 15lbs. He is equal parts handsome and sweet and wants nothing more than to be loved. Enzo was hit by a car and suffered a fracture of his pelvis and femur. He has had surgery to repair his injuries and has done amazing with his recovery. He will need to continue to restrict his activity for the next month and will then be slowly released to being the happy, healthy puppy he once was. His activity restrictions include, no running or jumping and supervision when out of his crate. Enzo is very good at limiting his activity on his own and has not had any issues in his foster home. He is crate trained, but will need consistency with house training in his new home. Enzo gets along great with other dogs and he loves kids. Due to his continued activity restrictions, he would do best in a home with another calm and gentle dog and older kids who understand his limitations. Enzo is available for adoption with a neuter contract. Enzo is a special dog, looking for a special adopter that is willing to continue to love him back to health. Adoption fee is: $650 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet.
