Scottish Fold kittens & cats in Santa Maria, California

We got Marty at the local humane shelter when he was 4 months old and he his now 13 months old. Marty is a sweet guy who loves to play with his toys, coax us out of the house to follow him around in "his" yard, play peek-a-boo, hide-and-go-seek, and watch him climb trees. And he LOVES to chase bugs! His kitten energy is calming down. He stays on our laps for longer periods of time, and is allowing himself to be pet more as well. He's smart and learning not to bite/scratch when he wants something and not getting it, or when he doesn't want to be pet. We have learned to honor his boundaries and tune into the subtle signs that he's had enough or is getting over-stimulated. We are deeply saddened to part with him. As busy as we are, and how much we travel, combined with ongoing life challenges, it's just not working out. The back and forth to caregivers is hard on Marty and us. He needs someone sensitive to his cat language with a home and yard where he can freely run.
