Story
Jorge spent the first ten years of her life with an elderly woman who has recently passed away. She is shy and shadowy, spending much of her time in hiding, but she'll come out to sit next to her favorite person when things are quiet. Jorge is an excellent cat for someone who enjoys animal companionship, but doesn't want to cuddle all of the time. She enjoys treats and looking out the window. She has been an indoor cat her whole life and will hunt any bugs she finds in the house.

Story
Ah, hey there, kid. Name’s Bert, but you can call me Uncle Bert if you want. I’m a brown long-haired senior cat with more miles on me than the Long Island Expressway. Lemme tell ya, life on the streets ain’t no walk in Central Park—it’s tough out there. I’ve weathered storms, dodged trouble, and come out the other side with a few stories to tell. But now? I’m ready to hang up my street cat boots and settle down in a cozy forever home.Don’t let my rugged past fool ya—I’ve still got a heart of gold under all this fluff. I’m wise, I’m chill, and I know how to appreciate the finer things in life: a sunny windowsill, a good meal, and a warm lap to snooze on. And hey, you gotta hear my meow—it’s one-of-a-kind, like a comedian with impeccable timing. Trust me, you’ll crack up the first time you hear it in person.I’ve earned my stripes, ya know? If you’re looking for a loyal companion with plenty of character and a touch of old-school charm, I’m your guy. Let’s make this happen—adopt me, and I promise you won’t regret it!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment with an approved application.
