Qualities: Affectionate, Playful, IndependentIdeal Home: No cats, cat-savvy dogs, older children, and lots of toys and cat towers! Meet Patches – A Gorgeous, Independent Spirit with a Playful Side!Patches is a stunning 5-year-old long-haired calico with a bold personality to match her beautiful coat. She’s adjusting to indoor life and needs a patient, experienced adopter to help her settle in.She loves pets but can get overstimulated, so slow, gentle affection is key. When in the mood, she throws her whole body into cuddles—but she also values her space. Her favorite perch is her sanctuary! When playful, Patches comes alive, chasing toys, loving wand play, and indulging in treats and catnip. She prefers to be the only cat but may tolerate a calm, respectful dog. She’d do best in an adult-only home or with cat-savvy older teens. If you’re looking for a spunky, independent companion with a mix of sass, playfulness, and affection (on her terms), Patches could be your perfect match. Apply today to make her your queen of the castle!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
