MEET HARIBO: He is an affectionate Shar Pei unlike others of his breed, who can be aloof. He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and healthy. He absolutely loves being caressed and brushed, and will eagerly follow you from room to room. When you're busy, he'll happily curl up at your feet. Haribo is housetrained with a potty schedule. He's also great at letting you know when he needs to go outside. He needs continued leash training. He gets very excited when seeing other dogs on his walks. He adores playtime and can zoom around energetically at any time of day. Being on the younger side, Haribo will benefit from opportunities to run an burn off energy. Haribo will be an excellent companion, especially for someone who is semi-active or has an area where he can have some freedom to run around. Meet Hercules: He is very Shar-Pei in personality and temperament. He is fully vetted, neutered, utd on shots and healthy. Good with other dogs. Kids and cats unknown. We think no kids unless they are much older. Hercules is crate trained and housetrained. He has had professional training. Learned proper leash walking, best behaviors and working on socialization. He rarely barks. He’s very lazy, he loves to sleep, loooves his benebones and stuffies with squeezers. The sweetest , gentlest boy with his people, very soft mouth, great walker on the prong in mellow areas, very fearful in busy areas and will need continued training and support. He would do best in a mellow and calm home. One where there were not guests often. Just a chill and loving home. Schatzie loves to be held and is very affectionate. She will walk up to you and rest her head on your hand or lap. She is slowly learning how to play catch after watching our resident dog and loves holding a toy in her mouth at all times. Squeaker toys are her jam and there are never too many tennis balls in her opinion. Often times you will find her rolling in the grass and springing back up to all four and ready for the next adventure. She rides well in cars, walks well on a leash and is potty trained. Everyone who meets her says she is an absolute sweetheart. The instant we met, our hearts melted, and could not agree any more.

Story

Zeus is very smart and playful, he loves toys and learns routines quickly. Zeus loves to play chase and tug anytime. He is learning his manners well, but he still barks and gets excited easily so he may do best somewhere he has a little space to play on his own. He is very friendly with other people, he wants to play and will go get his toys and attempt to engage you in tug of war. He likes to chase balls but is still learning “drop”. If you have a couple toys to alternate with, he will fetch. He loves belly rubs. Zeus loves his treats but is pretty mellow about mealtimes. He will take food from your hand gently. We give him food 3 times a day and he often eats it slowly throughout the day, he doesn’t gobble food or overeat. When we need to give him pills he will eat a spoon of peanut butter with meds with no problem. Zeus crates well; he will go in there easily if you point inside and often takes naps in there on his own. His foster parents are home a lot so he is a little spoiled with attention, but he is used to being in his crate alone for a few hours at a time. He is both affectionate and sometimes self-sufficient. He likes to be with you or cuddle, and he also seems comfortable napping in the ‘other’ room. We have not tested Zeus with cats but he has a strong chase/hunt instinct and always goes after birds or squirrels. Zeus is sweet but he does get excited and can jump or be a rough player. He is learning not to jump up so much, but he does seem to like standing up on his hind legs. He is also pretty vocal when he is playing

Alka is a very sweet girl who needs a family that will help her feel safe in the world. Alka will do best in a home that is calm & on the quiet side so older, quieter kids in the home would be ok. Once you have earned her trust she is a typical Boxer goofball who does zoomies, loves cuddles, lap time, hand & face licks, hugs and will be by your side as you go about your day. She gets along well with her foster brother now after a bit of an extended introduction. She is curious about cats and will likely learn that chasing them when they move quickly isn’t going to be accepted. Alka needs a calm, patient home that can slowly help her feel more secure about meeting new people and learning about things she has apparently not experienced before. She walks nicely on a leash but is fearful of people in general so we are taking new experiences slowly and making sure they are positive. Alka is a smart, intuitive girl, has not had a single accident in the house and learned to use the dog door in about ten minutes. Alka is quiet and calm in her crate when needed during the day and all night.
