Home for the Holidays - Reduced Adoption Fees if Adopted by January 10th! Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home. I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. Lani is a sweet Sharpei-Mix. Yes, she has all the cute wrinkles and squinty eyes of a Shar Pei, just not quite as big. She loves to run around and play outside, and then come in for a treat and a nap. She loves giving kisses and laying in your lap! Fleas are her nemesis as she is allergic to them! She sometimes needs a little extra help cleaning her cute face wrinkles and eyes, but thats okay. She loves kids and is a great house protector (she does bark at knocks on the door/doorbell, but quickly settles down once she realizes everything is good). She would be a great addition to anyone's family who doesnt mind a 50 lb lap dog :)

Wassup guys?! I’m Malone! No, not like the famous rapper/singer… I’m actually pretty quiet! But I have SO much love to give! I’m around 2 years old, weighing in around 50 pounds and the sweetest most gentle boy you could ever meet! I’m a little shy at first, but I do warm up quickly to you! I love belly rubs and butt scratches! I’m also dog friendly but haven’t met any cats yet. I like kids too! They like to pet me and I eat it up! I walk super well on a leash and I’m house and crate trained! I ended up in a shelter way up north in Georgia. One of “the big guys” was walking by telling the other people that worked there that I was on some sort of list. I wasn’t sure what that meant, but I figured it couldn’t be good. I remained positive in the hopes that someone would come for me. And look! Here I am safe and alive! However, I know my story is just beginning! Jax was acquired by my son and my wife in 2020 from the Humane Society. He was 2 at the time. Apparently his first owner passed away. Though Jax does bark at people and animals outside, he has never bitten anyone, and he is calm and loving when people come over and pet him. In the 5 years we have had Jax, he has never had an accident in the house. We keep him in a crate during the day when we are at work, but he is not usually penned at night. Jax does not get the love and attention he deserves; he needs to go to a better home. I am willing to keep Jax for as long as it takes because he deserves a good home, not a shelter.
