ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13688Hi, my name is Mary Cassatt, and I'm thought to be a Shar-Pei mix (with something else adorable). I'm about 1 year old and weigh 47 lbs. I am a sweet girl who greets my foster mom with the biggest body wiggle every time I see her. With my extremely short coat, I am also low shedding.I just finished weaning my puppies and I'm ready to be just another lovely adult female looking for a home of my own. I'm doing great with the other dogs here and I'm super submissive. My foster mom will post updates on how I'm doing with walks and other good doggy activities as I get introduced to them.I’m scheduled for spay on July 23rd and will be able to go home with my new family shortly thereafter.About Me:Breed: Shar-Pei mixAge: 1 year oldWeight: 47 lbsCoat: Extremely short and low sheddingPersonality: Very sweet and gentle, a little tentative in new situations, but loves hard when she feels comfortableSocial Skills:-Great with other dogs-Super submissive-Loves to greet people with enthusiasmFun Fact:Just like my namesake, Mary Cassatt, the renowned artist known for her sensitive portrayals of women and children, I have a gentle and nurturing spirit. Cassatt's work was often characterized by a delicate touch and warm affection, similar to how I interact with those around me. Though I might be a little tentative in new situations, once I feel comfortable, I love deeply and form strong bonds with my human companions. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, and loving companion, I might just be the perfect match for you. I can’t wait to find my forever home and share all the love I have to give!

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13692Meet Michelangelo!Estimated DOB: 05/12/2024Current Weight: 8 lbsBreed: Shar Pei Mix - low sheddingEstimated Adult Weight: 40-55 lbs (approx.)Mom is a 47 lb sweetheart.Available: 7/8/24About Michelangelo:Michelangelo is an adorable little pup from our Artist Pups litter. With his silky ears, gorgeous blue-grey brindle coat, and white paw, this Shar Pei mix is sure to steal your heart. With his extremely short coat he will be low shedding, too.Personality:Michelangelo is the calmest of all the pups in his litter. He has a serene demeanor and is big on chewing—he loves his chew toys. He can pass the time easily with a toy in front of him, and the more toys, the better. Just like his namesake, Michelangelo, he displays a thoughtful and introspective nature.See us in action here:Activity center playMichelangelo is meticulous in his play, showing a deep concentration when engaging with his toys. His serene nature makes him a peaceful presence in any home, and his love for chewing keeps him happily occupied. Michelangelo’s patience and steady personality make him an easy-going and endearing companion.Training:Michelangelo is at the perfect age to begin his training journey. He’s bright and eager to please, making him an excellent candidate for basic obedience training and housebreaking. With consistent positive reinforcement and a bit of patience, Michelangelo will quickly learn new commands and behaviors, growing into a well-mannered and loyal companion.Ideal Home:Michelangelo would thrive in a loving and active home where he can receive plenty of attention and exercise. He would be a great fit for families, singles, or couples who have the time and energy to dedicate to his upbringing. A home with a yard or access to outdoor spaces would be ideal for his playful nature. He would also enjoy the companionship of other dogs.Health:Michelangelo is a healthy young pup and will come microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations and deworming. Regular vet check-ups and a balanced diet will help him grow into a robust and healthy adult. Please note that Michelangelo is so young, he has only received 2 of the required 3 puppy distemper vaccines. This is very IMPORTANT because it means that his immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age. Until then, he MUST stay out of public places where he could be exposed to the germs of other dogs. These no puppy zones include all pet stores, dog parks, and for apartment dwellers, areas used by other dogs. These requirements are strictly for Michelangelo’s medical safety and longevity. If you’re looking for a loving, energetic, and delightful new family member, Michelangelo might be the perfect addition to your home. Apply today and see if he’s the furry friend you’ve been searching for! Please keep in mind that Michelangelo is searching for...Someone who won't leave him home alone for more than 4 hours, at least not until he is older. The older he is, the more he can stay home alone. He just doesn't want you to get mad at him if he has accidents or chews things he's not supposed to when you leave him for too long. He's a puppy, so he gets bored quickly and when he's bored he could get in trouble. He is looking for his forever home, not his for-right-now home. So as he gets bigger, he needs someone to teach him how to be the best dog he can be. He is young and still learning. You may want to teach him some new tricks like sit, stay, etc. Professional training will help him bond with you. That sounds like fun!
