Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application! Handsome Benji will draw you in with his looks. He might seem a little shy at first, but he quickly warms up and makes friends. Once he feels comfortable, he falls in love with anyone willing to take him outside to play. Benji loves the great outdoors, as long as someone is with him. He’s never been alone outside, as his previous owner always took him on walks. Benji could stand to lose a little weight, but that shouldn’t be an issue. His diet is gradually being adjusted, and his love for walks and playtime will certainly help. His favorite toy is a herding ball, which he "borrowed" from the collies at his foster home. Despite its large size, he can’t get enough of it—chasing after it whenever his foster dad rolls it.   Benji attaches himself to his human and loves to cuddle on the sofa with his foster dad. At bedtime, he sleeps on the floor next to his side of the bed. Benji has proven he is easy to train, especially when it means getting to go outside. Like a typical sheltie, Benji is a “talker” (barks) and isn’t shy about using his voice when he wants something. His foster dad predicts Benji will have no trouble quickly settling into his next home and becoming a cherished member of his forever family.   Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.March 13, 2025, 11:09 am

Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Daisy is a sheltie who walks well on a leash and loves going for walks. When in her yard, she enjoys sniffing around and may bark if she spots a bird or squirrel—just to let you know she’s seen it. Daisy has done well at the groomer and is fully house-trained. She even gently paws at you when she needs to go outside. She has been good with quiet children but is a bit timid, making her a better fit for a calm household rather than a loud, active one.   She gets along with other dogs but is more confident around smaller ones. At mealtime, she prefers to eat separately from other dogs. She is fearful of cats and will refuse to walk past one. (We have asked the foster to let us know if this changes once she gets used to the cat at the foster home).   Daisy is trustworthy, has great house manners and has not been crated. She is a little reserved and shy. It has taken her a couple of weeks to “come out of her shell” at the foster's home so she might need some time to adjust in her forever home as well. Once she is comfortable with her people and home, Daisy is definitely a Velcro dog. Her favorite spot is right next to her foster on the sofa or chair, and since she’s small, she fits perfectly. When lying on her bed—always near her foster—she daintily crosses her front paws. She loves being with her human so much that she has occasionally almost slipped out of the house as the foster was leaving. However, she continues to grow more confident and independent as she learns her foster’s home routine, and this sweet sheltie will continue to blossom in her forever home.  Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.March 18, 2025, 2:51 pm

Story
This little guy is absolutely precious and darn near perfect !! Sad story. His owner was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so he asked his vet to find a wonderful home for Tuk. And that's just what we aim to do. This little guys is approx 3-4 years old, neutered, completely house trained and leash trained. He's very good with people, kids and other dogs. Loves to lay in his kennel for comfort . Bonds very quickly with his people . Currently he's in a foster home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted he will travel on transport to his new forever family ( transport is an additional $185) if you would like to make Tuk a part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
