Story
Stevie Wonder presented a challenge when trying to catch him to keep him safe. He was roaming as a stray but due to his blindness was staying pretty much in the same area. We sat for days outside with him, feeding him but if we moved at all, he took off. After many many days, we finally were able to get a slip lead on him and get him safe. Once we had him, he adjusted really quick to walking on a leash, learning his boundaries and being inside. We took him to a specialist to check his eyes and learned he is completely blind and nothing can be done to help. He will need to have an annual visit to an eye specialist as he could develop cataracts and infections, that would need treated asap. By having his eyes checked annually, it would avoid any major issues that may arise. Stevie may be blind, but he is also an escape artist. He needs to be supervised at all times when outside. He is not your cuddle bug, but does love attention, petting and being near you.. and cream cheese.. he loves cream cheese . ( that is how we finally caught him) If Stevie is the boy for you please read below. 1. on line application 2. vet and reference check 3. phone call 4. home visit 5 meet and greet 6. adoption We will travel up to two hours to do home checks. We also truly feel the dogs in our rescue have been through enough. We take in those who are injured, abused, neglected, sick, and abandoned. That being said we search for a home that they are never put in that position again and that fits their personality and needs the best. No more hurt or fear. https://cliffordsarmyrescue.com/1423-2/

Story
Meet Ace!  You’re always winning with Ace! If you’re looking for a shadow, you’ve found it. Ace attaches to his human quickly and fiercely. He’ll follow you around so closely, be careful not to trip over him. He loves snuggles and cuddles. He thrives with a good daily walk and mental stimulation (command training and such). Ace came from a terrible hoarding situation where he lives in piles of trash with dozens of other dogs. He’s overcome a lot but he needs a forever home where he can continue to be worked with grow. He thrives with structure, routine, exercise, training and lots of love. At his core, he’s the biggest sweetheart. Due to his past, he has fears and anxieties. This sometimes shows when he meets new people and dogs. With training and socialization, he can improve. Ace has a silly side that he’ll show you once he’s comfortable. Ace loves chasing squeaky toys. He prances like a trick pony around the yard. He’ll jump and spin for treats. He is easy to fall in love with. He sleeps silently in his crate at night. He races to the door when you get the leash. He’ll be the first one to greet you when you come home. There’s so much to adore. Just meet him and you’ll never want to let go!   He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Ace is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT ACE!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $300.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. August 19, 2024, 7:38 pm

Story
Meet Gretchen, a smart as a whip 22 lb., 6 yr. old Sheltie/ Aussie mix. This little girl is adorable! Gretchen is the total package - fully trained and an absolute beauty. When she gazes at you with those light brown eyes you simply melt. Watch a short video of Gretchen here: https://youtube.com/shorts/tn3-LX0AzVc Gretchen is a high-energy girl who thrives when she has a job to do. True to her breed, she'll do best in an active home where she can keep her body and mind occupied. Gretchen is exceptionally smart, curious and athletic. She loves going on walks, car rides, puzzle games, tug-of-war and would knock it out of the park in agility. Once exercised, Gretchen loves sitting at the door watching the world outside. She's good with most dogs after a proper introduction but is an alpha female so will do best with another submissive dog or as your one and only. Sorry feline, fans. Gretchen's prey drive is too high to live peacefully with kitties. Be sure to check out Gretchen's video posted above. Think you're the perfect match for this cutie? Don't call! This little girl won't be available long so rush to submit your no-cost/ no-obligation adoption application at: www.AlmostHomeDogRescueNC.com . An Adoption Coach will then contact you by phone.
