Story
MEET SARAH. This very sweet Pit Bull Terrier was given up by her owner recently due to marital problems in the home. This was devastating for Sarah, who was adopted at only 8 weeks old, and now is about 3-5 years old (we think) due to her white teeth. Sarah also lost her canine pals when her home fell apart. She is clearly overweight - she weighs about 80 pounds and is now on a diet! :) She loves kids and other big dogs, but does not do well with cats or little dogs. Despite her sad story, Sarah is adjusting well and is truly a lovebug. She needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M DREAM! I'm a 4-year-old blue-and-white Pit Bull Terrier, in need of a foster or forever home. I have been waiting for a couple of years for a home - and keep getting overlooked since I suppose, I'm one of many who need homes right now. I am an easygoing boy - I love people and have done well with other dogs. I was surrendered at the shelter because my previous owners said they could not handle a puppy. Like most pitties, I'm a strong boy and will do well with an experienced owner who wants a loving companion. I love to chase the hose and will bark whenever I see it because I get so excited! I'm definitely a water dog. I'm also very food motivated and I love treats. I weigh about 50 pounds. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
MEET RED! Red is a 1-1/2-year old loving and highly intelligent dog in need of a forever home! He is currently in a foster home in the Greater Seattle area. Red is great mix of smart and loyal breeds. He is part German Shepherd and Rottweiler, with a few other breeds like Border Collie and Australian Shepherd thrown in. (We did a DNA test - we're happy to share it!). Red is such a great dog in many ways: He is dog friendly, kid friendly and active. He is eager to learn, and will be excited to continue his training with a human companion. (He currently went through obedience training!). He does well off leash on walks in the country, and has wonderful recall. Once he knows you, he does not run off. He is constantly looking for fun things to chase but will look to you for permission and “leave it” when told. Red is also praise motivated and a fast learner. He gets along well with other dogs (loves dog parks!) but needs some gentle correction when he first meets friends because he excites easily at play time. He loves to romp with similar energy dogs, and he would thrive in a pack. He has a strong prey drive, but with proper instruction he has left the cat alone in his current foster home. He is always looking to his person for guidance and commands. Red is also great with all people once he has been slowly introduced to them as his desire to guard his family comes naturally to him. He is not toy or food aggressive, and is crate trained. He loves going for car rides and can be left alone while running errands (he does get car sick now and then). For long trips he may need medication until he hopefully grows out of it. He gets bored easily, should not be left outside in the yard unattended and would do best with someone who works from home or is retired, and who can give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. At the end of the day, Red enjoys lying by your feet or next to you on a couch. He is a snuggler and wants to be close to his people. He's such an awesome dog and companion. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal and active dog and are excited to continue to be his partner in training, Red would be perfect for you. He weighs 70 lbs. Please email for an application.
