Story
Maximus (Max or Maxi or Maxipoo) is a beautiful German Shepherd dog, he will almost be 8 years old in Oct 2024, but is still a puppy. He is a big cuddle bug. We adopted Max when he was 18 months old from a family who was going to move to a other state and would have given him away in a shelter, since then Max has been with us for more than 6 years. We want a dedicated family who has experience with German Shepherd dogs and understands doggie body language. Max will need some walks and some regular play time. With proper introduction he does well with the family and close friends only, he is uncomfortable with other dogs right away, but will need a lot of meet-n-greets with other dogs and family friends and once he gets to know them better does really well. Unfortunately my eldest child started developing severe allergies, hence we have taken this heartbreaking decision of rehoming our dog.

He loves his walks. Max is good with the children as he lives with them, ages 5 & 2 yrs old. He is OK with other dogs, but is on the timid side. He does OK with other small dogs as well. We haven't introduced him to cats or other animals yet. He is housetrained and does well when left in the house alone, goes well with 6-8 hours all by himself. He likes to sleeps on his large bed at night. Max had received his formal obedience training when he was 18-20 months old.
