Story
Maximus (Max or Maxi or Maxipoo) is a beautiful German Shepherd dog, he will almost be 8 years old in Oct 2024, but is still a puppy. He is a big cuddle bug. We adopted Max when he was 18 months old from a family who was going to move to a other state and would have given him away in a shelter, since then Max has been with us for more than 6 years. We want a dedicated family who has experience with German Shepherd dogs and understands doggie body language. Max will need some walks and some regular play time. With proper introduction he does well with the family and close friends only, he is uncomfortable with other dogs right away, but will need a lot of meet-n-greets with other dogs and family friends and once he gets to know them better does really well. Unfortunately my eldest child started developing severe allergies, hence we have taken this heartbreaking decision of rehoming our dog.

Story
Carlisle is in desperate need of a foster or adopter ASAP! Miracle dog and Stanislaus Survivor Carlisle is ready to be adopted. Carlisle sat in the shelter for over 2 weeks with no one willing to help him because his injury was pretty severe and expensive to fix. He fractured his L7 vertebrae. We think he is about 2 years old. We found the most skilled Neurosurgeon at VCA Referral Center and found a medical donor willing to take a chance on the surgery. There was no guarantee it would work, but Carlisle had such a will to live, we knew had to try. The Surgeon did not give up either and he decided to make it happen. So we pulled the boy and off he went to VCA for a $12,000 plus surgery. Carlisle has made a full and complete recovery! It is a true miracle. He has been in two foster homes and his current foster home can only keep him until the end of May. He should be an only dog for now. He is still intact, but his neuter will be done while in foster care, if adopted ( foster to adopt) or as soon as we can get him in for the surgery. Carlisle is great with kids and people. He is good on leash. He is not the best with other animals, seems to have a prey drive, so no small dogs or cats or farm animals. Female dogs his size or larger should be fine, but we will demand slow intros. He is so deserving of a home and we need a foster or an adopter for him ASAP! Interested in meeting Carlisle? Let us know! *Call or text 833-473-7364 or *Send an email to sacrdroperations@gmail.com (including your phone number) or *Message us on social media @resilientdogrescue or *Inquire using the Adopt a Petfinder system - be sure to include your phone number We look forward to hearing from you! Our adoption application will need to be completed and submitted. It can be found here: https://bit.ly/sacrdr-adoptionapp You can follow Carlisle on FB, Insta and TikTok using #sacrdrcarlisle

Story
Belle of the Ball? Or perhaps, "Bella! The Ball!"Bella recently charmed everyone on a trip to a volunteer's home. She hopped into the car with ease and showed impeccable manners, even when french fries were on offer. At home, Bella explored the backyard, made a quick pit stop, and then toured the house, settling in quickly. She adapted seamlessly to the family's rhythm. The highlight of Bella's day? Tennis ball fetch! She eagerly awaited each throw, staying close and ready for more. While her human companion worked on the computer, Bella patiently waited with a tennis ball, ever ready to play. Bella loves carrying a tennis ball or soft toy during walks, prancing proudly with her prize. However, she is required to be the only dog in her new home and is still learning to share her favorite toys, so any children should be 10 or older. Our Behavior Team will provide a consult to discuss her individual needs.Ready to make Bella your one-and-only? She's ready to bring joy and fetch games to her forever home!Monthly Promotion AppliesAdoption Price: $150

Story
Meet Azula, your true blue companion! She loves car trips, hamburgers (but not fries!), and cuddling with a toy on the couch. Azula's perfect for drives or welcoming you home with a wagging tail. As with many of this active and intelligent breed, keeping both her mind and body busy can be the key to a successful life together. Azula likes to play tug with her leash and is still learning how to share her favorite treats. Because of this, we recommend that any children in her new home are age 10 or older. She is selective of the other dogs she shares her space with so we will be providing a dog introduction to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies.
