Story
Hey there! I'm Convoy, a Shepsky, with one blue and one brown eye, your soon-to-be new adventure buddy! I'm an affectionate and loyal girl who loves to play, especially with my canine pals. I enjoy the company of people, too, and I'm always up for some cuddle time. Just don't tell my mom I said this, but I can be a bit of a foodie and I'm always up for trying new treats! I've got a lot of energy, so I'd love an active family who can keep up with me. I am a bit of a know-it-all and I'm super smart, so I'm always ready to learn new tricks and I understand most things you'd say. If you're looking for a fun-loving and clever pooch to join your pack, look no further - it's Convoy! Convoy will be ready for adoption on Sept 13 (after she is spayed). If you'd like to meet her, email us at vcanimalrescueca@gmail.com. We'll send you an application and arrange a time to meet in La Mesa. She will be spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and dewormed. She is currently 6 months old, 40 pounds.

Story
Location: Washington Jessie is about 1.5 yrs. old. She is very friendly, sweet and loves to meet new folks. She is also dog friendly with dog of all sizes. She has a medium energy level. She is a shadow dog that needs to be right with her people at all times. She would not be a good fit with small children, as when she gets over stimulated, she can jump and get playfully mouthy. Not in a mean way, she is just young. Jessie has a few health issues. She has a 5/6 heart murmur. She does just fine with it, but in the future will most likely need vet visits to monitor it. She also has thyroid issues she takes meds for every day. She came in with a severe head tilt and it's believed to be caused by her thyroid issues. Her tilt has gotten way better since on the meds. She also gets car sick and does not enjoy long car rides, short ones are fine and she does really well in the car. Do you think this sweet girl would be a good match for you? Story
Kona is a sweet, smart, healthy, and athletic girl. I adopted her in 2016 and at the time, the vet said was 2-3 years old. I was single then and had lots of time time to spend with her. I’m now married with two small children, a full time job (active duty military) and a husband who deploys regularly. I can no longer give Kona the get the exercise or attention she deserves and she is home alone all day which causes her anxiety. It pains me to have to look for a better home for her, but the circumstances of my life aren’t fair to her. I’m hoping to find someone who can love her and give her the attention she deserves.

This 1-year-old, ~50 pound shepherd/husky mix is a total sweetheart, with one striking blue eye and one warm brown eye that'll steal your heart. Kimmy is all about fun, whether it’s playing at the park, splashing at the beach, or snuggling up for some couch time.   She’s great with other dogs and most people, though she might be a bit shy around men until she gets to know them.
