Story
Meet Capone! I'm a silly, playful, and fun-loving guy who will keep you entertained with my delightful antics. You'll be pleased to know that I'm both crate and potty trained, making me a well-behaved companion. However, I should mention that I prefer to be the only dog in the house, and I'm most comfortable in a home with adults - so no kids, please. I absolutely adore going for walks, and I'm always up for a good cuddle session or some playtime. Chewing on bones is a favorite pastime of mine, and I'm a sucker for treats. You'll find that I'm smart but a bit hard-headed, which can make life with me quite an adventure. Trust me, I'm even cuter in person! If you think I might be the one you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask to meet me. I can't wait to become your best friend and fill your life with love and laughter! Story
Ghost came in with Gemma (also available for adoption) and is believed to be hearing impaired. She is EXTREMELY bonded to Gemma. When walking them together, Ghost will search for Gemma if she gets out of her eyesight for a second and she will run up to her and put her face right against hers, almost like an emotional support. Ghost also makes a high-pitched yelping/crying noise at times which is thought to happen because she can only hear herself that way. These two dogs are truly bonded and should not be separated.During playgroups, she was clearly intimidated by being in a play session with another dog. She quickly steered clear of her play partner and put herself into a corner. She started showing teeth and being slightly snappy to let him know she was uncomfortable. She was clearly not enjoying herself. If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Ghost 251494".She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: White Weight: 59 Age: 5yrs 1mths 1wks

Gemma came in with Ghost and Ghost is EXTREMELY bonded with Gemma. These two dogs are recommended to be adopted together. Gemma is gentle, does not pull, and is more independent than Ghost. She is treat motivated, and she is very alert. She seems to be medium energy, and she remains calm when you enter her kennel. She barks as other dogs pass their kennel, but she does not react outside. Gemma looks forward to walks and treats every day.Gemma is heartworm-positive, but it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $400 sponsorship to help cover the cost of her treatment. If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Gemma 251495"She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home.
