Story
Fuzzy is a sweet little pooch, thought to have a DOB around 6/2022 and weighs about 15#. We did his DNA and his top 3 breeds were 52% Shih Tzu, 22% Chi and 12% Poodle. He can be initially shy so we are looking for a patient home with no kids or kids over 12. He loves lounging and exploring outside, so a home with a yard would be ideal. Here is what Fuzzy's fostermom has to say about this sweetheart: Fuzzy is a young dog looking for a loving family who can appreciate him! Fuzzy comes with some qualities that make him an ideal pet for the right home: *Training & Adaptability:* - Crate trained and house trained (with supervision) - Comfortable using a dog door - Beginning to learn commands and wants to please - Self-entertaining with toys *Social Personality:* - Gets along well with small dogs - Initially shy with strangers but warms up - Becomes loving once he feels comfortable *Ideal Home Environment:* - Preferably a home with smaller dogs or as a solo pet. Unknown if he gets along with cats - Owners who can provide plenty toys and play time/walks - Patient family willing to help him build confidence - Home that understands his initial wariness of new people Fuzzy is more than just a pet - he's a loyal friend waiting to bring joy and companionship to the right family. His combination of playfulness, trainability, and affectionate nature makes him a wonderful potential addition to your home. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Little Mr Claus is looking for a forever home!! It was discovered that Claus has a heart murmur and his official diagnosis is: Elongated appearing mitral leaflets possibly related to dysplasia, mitral valve systolic anterior motion with mild regurgitation, left ventricular outflow tract obstruction which has led to severe concentric hypertrophy. He was put on atenolol which he is tolerating well and will require a second echocardiogram in May 2025 (this can be covered by SIAR if needed). Claus could need meds and continued monitoring his entire life. Claus' wish list: 1. Daily walks 2. Lots of human company. 3.  A playful dog his size 4.  Regular grooming We are welcoming Claus a little Shih tzu/maybe shih tzu mix, estimated dob 6/2023!  This little guy is a short stack and is a reasonable 13.5 lbs with a BIG personality.  Claus found himself in a high kill shelter.  He is estimated to be around three years old. He cleans up beautifully and did very well with his grooming after he arrived. He also did just fine with baths. Claus is a happy go lucky little soul.  He gets along well with the other dogs in household and plays with them well.  He has figured out the dog door and is almost perfect with his potty training (needs more coaching with lots of rain but then who doesn't?) Claus is eating like a champ and enjoys his meals.  He loves to play with toys as well. He is happy to take walks in the neighborhood daily.  Claus sleeps in his crate at night. He likes car rides too!  Claus also meets people well and would love lots of attention. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Story
My uncle got this dog from his neighbor when was just a puppy and he has been in my family for the past 11 years. He was my grandmas dog for almost 6 years and then my aunts have raised him since, Just recently my aunt passed away and my other aunt is going into assisted living. I travel full time for a living and unfortunately can’t give Bowser the scare he so much deserves. It’s going to break our heart to give him up but it’s for the best.

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Please contact Sheryl with OAKDALE TINY PAWS RESCUE, text+1 (209) 606-3640 or email at tinypawsoakdale@gmail.com, Andie’s being fostered in Stockton. Hello! My name is Andie! I’m a super loving and friendly little dude and I’m looking for my forever home! The best things about me are I’m super soft and fluffy, I love cuddles (my foster mom calls it paying my rent and my foster kid calls it paying my taxes). I’m leash trained and my foster mom is working on house training me. I would do amazing with a doggy door. I love people, and I get along with older kids (7+). I’m great with cats and eventually get along with other dogs if I have a slow introduction. I love walks, going camping, hiking and I’ve even been to a beach or two! I’m a good boy when I must take baths, and expect some zoomies and playtime right after! Because of my past situation I have a very anxious attachment style and will be happier at a place that isn’t too busy. I would do best with someone that has time to train me so I can be a happier more independent pup! I am an older dude so I have some vision and hearing problems but I respond well to clapping and snapping. All I need is the right person to give me as much love and affection as I deserve, and I will be the best boy for you! If you are interested in meeting this sweet little guy, please text or email Sheryl at the above contact information PRE-SCREENING, APPLICATION, VET REFERENCES & FENCED YARD REQUIRED. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! YOU WILL GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR NEW FURRY FAMILY MEMBER BY GIVING THEM LOVE AND TRAINING

Story
Meet Jazzy, the perfect blend of sweet and sassy! This charming 1.5-year-old, 8-pound Shih Tzu - Papillon mix has a unique black and white coat that's just as vibrant as her personality. Jazzy would love to be your one and only, always ready for new adventures as long as she can tag along with you. At her petite size, Jazzy is the perfect companion to carry in a purse or stroller, making it easy to take her anywhere you go. She does enjoy the company of other dogs but can be a little possessive at times—just a loving reminder of how much she adores her humans! Jazzy has a playful side, and when she’s excited for attention, she'll hop around on her tiptoes, paws held in prayer—adorable, right? She's best suited for an active adult home or a family with teenagers, as her small stature makes her less compatible with young children. Fully spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, Jazzy is ready to become a cherished member of your family. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's eager to bring joy and a dash of sass into your life, Jazzy could be the perfect fit! Will you be the one to welcome her home? If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
