Miles was surrendered to PAWS due to the owner moving where pets weren't allowed. He is a quiet , well mannered 3 yr, old boy who does seem a bit afraid of men but loves children! For that reason, we do want a home with children for Miles. Miles is crate trained and house trained. He likes other small dogs (no large dogs!) and walks well on a leash. . We require a fenced in yard for Miles which is secure as he will otherwise escape. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. Meet Shoji, the cutest little Shih Tzu guy! Shoji is 7 years old and 8 pounds of happiness and joy. His tail never stops wagging! He's good with other dogs and so sweet when meeting new humans! He is working on potty training in his foster home, and he has made it clear he's not into that crate, thank you very much! His foster mom is helping him get used to it while also figuring out if he can be left safely to free roam. He will do best with a patient and understanding family, especially since he is a shy little guy at first! Shoji is happiest when he is with his people and follows his foster family everywhere. He enjoys yard time and then settles in for a good nap! Shoji is such a delight, we know he will make a great addition to his forever home! Please let us know if Shoji is the pup for you! Shoji's adoption fee is $600.
