Roger has come a long ways since his days as a stray in Texas. He will gladly flop over for a belly rub and is learning to trust again. He has come to enjoy the good life, living with air conditioning and long days splashing in his pool. He is not a fan of his crate but will go in with some toys and treats to sweeten the deal. Roger had a rough life on the streets of Texas but with some patience and love he will make a great companion. He is house trained and would do best in a home without small children who might startle the little 15 pound guy!

Kingston (King) is an 8 year old Shih Tzu that I received as a college graduate gift. He is sweet and friendly to everyone. Over the years, he has interacted with other dogs, cats, children, and adults, and has adapted well with them all. Like most dogs, King does not like loud noises (thunder or banging). He barks when someone approaches the door but he greets them with a happy dances.

Anthony-ShihTzu/Terrier X male, Senior (Aug. 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Anthony came to Rescue when his elderly owner passed away, and there was no back up plan for his care. The local Humane Society took him in. He's waiting for a new home, now living in a foster home. The foster home said Anthony is doing great. For a senior dog, about 10 yr., or more, he has a spring in his step and can still play like a puppy. He has lost the sight in one eye, but it doesn't slow him down. Anthony needs a home that is quiet, since that is what he's known his whole life. Maybe with a senior human or mature adult(s). He is housetrained and has no issues with his health, other dogs or people. Anthony's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
