Story
~Adoptable Izzy~ Izzy is a 5.5 month old, 18 pound cutie who loves playing with all sorts of toys, chewing on any kind of bones and playing fetch with the ball. She has a zest for life!  This girl has the cutest zoomies, high energy and can jump (agility may be her calling). She gives lots of kisses especially since her favorite thing is spending time with you and following where ever you go-including for a car ride. Izzy has done well with her crate for intervals during the day and sleeps through the night after a few minutes of settling in. She has not had an accidents yet in the house while in foster care. Izzy is very treat motivated so she learns quickly and is easy to train with positive reinforcement methods. Izzy will need a family with patience since everything is a new experience for this little one.  She seems to have limited exposure and experiences to many things before coming into rescue. She has been nervous around other dogs, and will need patient, slow introductions. Izzy will benefit from training and socialization to become more confident.  With all her gorgeous fluff, she will need routine brushing and grooming too. She’s done well with adults and children but we would prefer any children in the home to be at least 10 years or older so that the children can understand that taking things slow, and providing positive learning and training experiences are what Izzy needs to thrive!  This adorable bundle of joy would love to be your new best friend, and she is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and is scheduled to be spayed by the rescue. If you are open and willing to give her slow introductions to new dogs that she meets, provide her with socialization opportunities where she can continue to build confidence, and commit to daily training and exercise, as well grooming, then you’ve met your absolutely adorable match.  If you are interested in getting approved to meet her, please complete the application below! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14k4U4E2mK/? https://form.jotform.com/fairytailsrescuemd/dogpuppy-adoption-applicationJanuary 8, 2025, 10:16 pm

Story
Hi - My name is Hunter and I am a new member of the AARF family. I am a Shih Tzu mix, but because I am brand new to these parts, there`s not much more known about me or my personality just yet. If you check back a little later, I`m sure my foster parents will have a lot more information to post about me. If you have any questions, though, feel free to send an email to info@animalalliesrescue.org. or if you just think it`s love at first sight, please fill out an adoption application at this site - http://www.animalalliesrescue.org and choose me - Hunter! My adoption fee is $300.00. AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We’ve been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we’ve started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Patches has been with one older individual since he was a puppy and does not understand that she is gone forever. He is used to being well cared for and especially well loved. He misses the 'well loved' part very much and is very good at keeping up his half of that bargain and then some. He has a graduate degree in loving! As a senior, he has had plenty of time and practice at showing you how he can bat those big brown eyes at you when he wants something (like a treat, or a bite of your toast) and he always knows in his heart when you need to be cheered up, or just have a friend near you. He is a 'best boy' when it comes to being a friend. He is used to a relatively peaceful life. Nice walks, cuddles, playtime in the backyard when the weather is nice  and play in the livingroom when it's cold or rainy. He adores food and our vet said he has too good a relationship with food. In other words, it's time for a diet. He should be a few pounds lighter. So, if you have made a New Year's resolution to lose some pounds, you are going to have a buddy doing the same thing! You can both look at that potato chip bag and put it out with the trash. You will not be able to sneak a chip. Patches will hear you from anywhere in the house! Probably down the block, too. If you want a well trained companion, someone to love and who will cherish you back, take a good look at Patches. Hide the chips, first. If you are interested in Patches please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2025, 8:48 pm

Story
Where to begin? I'll tell you about this dog named Bandit. He's around 3 years old. A Shih tzu mix, he wears a long, soft coat of black and tan, and weighs only 16 pounds. It's because of his small size that any children in your home should be at least10 years old. Small children don't always realize their own strength and might unintentionally hurt such a small dog. But there are many ways to hurt another, aren't there? Bandit is a wonderful dog who gets along with other dogs, kids and his foster's cat. Still, his previous owner took him to the vet to be euthanized because she &#194&#147no longer wanted him.&#194&#148 It hurts to even think about that, doesn't it? We're doing all we can in rescue to make him forget that, and we know you will, too. (TN, posted 12/11/24) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.December 15, 2024, 5:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.JoJo was rescued from a local shelter. He was very matted and had not been properly cared for. He now has a new lease on life and is a happy loving boy. Unfortunately it seems as though he was never kept in a crate so he likes to bark when crated. He has also not met cats before now so he is VERY interested in them and it may not be a good idea to have him in a home with cats. If interested, please fill out an online application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2024, 3:26 pm
