Rocco is 10-12 years old and weighs 12 pounds. He's an equal opportunity lover of dogs, respectful kids and any human who will be his friend. He's an outdoor enthusiast who needs a fenced yard to safely enjoy his adventures. His favorite pastime? Being by your side! Since his beloved owner went into hospice care, Rocco thrives best with someone who’s home often. Rocco has some vision and hearing loss and may need a hand with stairs, but his spirit is unstoppable! Sometimes he barks for no reason but a little distraction does the trick. While we believe he’s housetrained, we use a "male wrap" (belly band) just in case. He’s not on any medication and his recent bloodwork and vet notes show he's doing fine for a senior! We are looking for a "Forever Foster" for Rocco. We'll supply everything Rocco needs for life – all you need to do is provide a loving home, just like you would your own pet. We’re looking for a family within a reasonable distance from Barnegat, NJ, so he can visit our vet in town. In the alternative, if you would like to adopt Rocco as your very own companion, we are absolutely open to that! And so is Rocco! Meet Man Man! This adorable little old man is just the greatest! Yes, he's older.....but at 12, he still has so much spunk and sweetness, and he's planning on bringing all of his happiness to the lucky family that welcomes him into their lives. Man Man was turned in when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Let's first address those straggly teeth: Man Man underwent a dental just after these photos were taken and many of his broken teeth have been removed. He's feeling like a brand new boy! He wasn't letting much get him down before though, and he has a warm, sweet, loving little personality. Man Man is so happy to be scooped up and held, or to trot along beside you for a walk. He is so well-behaved, gentle, happy to take a treat or check out a new toy, and overjoyed to get your attention. Man Man is great with other easy going dogs and cats, and he's lived with everyone from toddlers to the elderly and was great with them all. He sure hopes you'll give him the home of his dreams! Lulu is one of the most incredibly sweet and deserving little dogs you'll ever meet! She's nearly 13 years old now and she was removed from an unfit home in the fall of 2023. Lulu was cleaned up and cared for by our Newark shelter at the time where they found that she is missing an eye, is blind in the other eye, and she had several masses that needed surgical removal. She was treated and adopted! Sadly, Lulu was returned recently and now, she really needs the best home ever. Lulu's mammary cancer has returned, unfortunately. Lulu is looking for a quiet, loving home to live out her life in, however long that may be. Lulu doesn't ask for much at all. She's extremely loving, sweet, quiet, and mild-mannered. She's good with dogs and cats but they will need to be gentle with her due to her blindness. Lulu is only on eye drops for her one eye, she doesn't ask for much else otherwise. She's working on her housebreaking skills and will need someone to just pay attention to when she has to, "go". Lulu is available for foster or adoption.. Randall doesn’t seem to mind the company of other dogs or cats. He does have some chronic health issues, including a history of dry eyes, and skin infection, so he needs a family that understands his medical needs.
