Story
Allie came to me because her owner passed away. I have a service dog and thought Allie would be a good play mate for him and support his life. Allie is a distraction for my service dog and does not interact with him at all. My service dog is just too jealous of her. Allie has epilepsy and I have her medications to give to you. Allie could use more exercise.

Story
Tori is being fostered in Florida. Tori is a very laid back 10# girl who is quiet and rarely barks. She loves to be outside with her nose facing the breeze and catching the scents in the air. She lives as an only dog - but is very tolerant of the other dogs in our building. The cat in the family is not fond of Tori but Tori does not mind the cat. Tori has a favorite green blanket where she naps and sleeps at night (and is a loud snorer!). She likes frequent walks on leash and is house trained. She enjoys being on your lap or next to you while you are watching tv. Little is known about Tori’s past except that she was taken from her elderly owner who could no longer care for her. Pictures here show her ungroomed condition when she entered the shelter and after being groomed. Tori’s right eye had been removed at some time in the past and she has no vision in her left eye. Pressure in that eye is normal and her medical vet noted a dilated pupil and asteroid hyalosis. She has an appointment to see an opthamologist next month. She often scratches the right side of her face but no reason has been found for this. Tori does not drink from her water bowl but does drink water added to her kibble and gets four small meals a day. On arrival at her foster home in Florida, Tori was treated for worms including tapeworms. This probably contributed to her anemia and she is on lixotinic for that. She had a 4DX test and it was all negative including heartworms. A dental cleaning has been done and four teeth were removed. A benign lesion was removed from her left thigh at that time also. Tori gets very anxious with car rides, but her vet has ordered Trazodone to help her with this. Due to her size a home without young children is recommended. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
I have more videos on the rescue website! My name is Pepper. I weigh 7 lbs. (2/16). I am one in a litter of three. We were born around November 15. We are fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Our mom weighed 7 pounds and our dad weighed 10 pounds. They were both family pets with great dispositions. We all have long bodies and short legs. We are not considered hypoallergenic or non-shedding since we are mixed breed puppies. We are well socialized and very loving. We love being held and petted, and we always greet our foster mom at the door with wagging tails and lots of kisses. We love to play with toys and with each other. We do like to chew on fingers and toes so we definitely need some training in this area. We have a medium energy level. We are working on house training. We sleep in a crate every night and we have learned not to potty in our crate. As soon as our crate door is opened every morning we run straight to the door to go outside and potty. We are good with the other dogs and love to play with them. I am the boldest of the three and the first to try anything new. I love to snooze in my foster’s lap! We provide hours of entertainment to our foster mom just watching us play. We are pretty typical puppies - we eat, sleep, play, and then start all over again. We have so much love to give and we are ready to go to our new forever homes! We will not be adopted in to homes with small children because we are so small. We are up-to-date on our puppy shots and we have been dewormed. We have already had a check up by the veterinarian. Our records will accompany us to our new homes. Email is the best method of contact . Adoption applications can be found on our rescue website Carolinacaninerescuenc.com
