Lucky is a 7 yr old Shih Tzu that comes to us from our partners in KY. He is 17 pounds Lucky wasn’t so lucky because his owner died and was sent to the shelter. Poor little guy has had his world turned upside down and was not happy at the shelter but he’s doing great now that he is in a foster home. Very sweet and loving and follows his foster mom from room to room. Gets along well with male and female dogs and cats lucky really just wants to be loved and hang out with you on the couch. He is mostly housebroken but Lucky does not do well in a crate. Lucky is being fostered in Lake Ariel PA.

Milo is a 5.5-6 yr old neutered male. Possibly Maltese and/or Shih Tzu mix as he seems to have non-shedding hair. Milo LOVES people but definitely has some quirks. He would NOT do well with toddlers and to be safe, no kids under 12. He is dog selective off the bat. Seems do to much better with smaller dogs but did come around to the bigger ones after about 1/2 a day. Milo will chase a running cat but respects if the cat tells him off with a swat. Previous owner reported some resource guarding in the way of growling at other dogs while eating as well as growls when woken up/asked to move. We have not witnessed this behavior yet but it is a possibility it may come up as he settles in. I did just witness him resource guard me from the another dog. So that is definitely something he’ll be working on. Milo is potty trained, does not destroy things in the house and is crate trained. He is also good on leash. Milo would make a great companion/lap dog. While he absolutely could be with other pets with experienced owners, it may be best for him to be an only. Www.mountainrottierescue.net
