Story
Meet Murdock (male) and his partner, Lovie (female) They are a bonded pair of non shedding adult dogs who are both very very sweet and loving. Murdock worships Lovie, and she adores him. As much as they love each other, they love their person just as much!! These two are basically the doggy version of a rom-com couple: they were discovered running wild through the streets of Houston, trying to survive, completely inseparable. They moved on to greener pastures (literally) after being rescued in Texas and getting their vetting done. Both are now living in a New England foster home with four other little dogs. Someone must have owned and loved them as they have taken to fostering like true pros....so well adjusted to a life with humans.Lovie and Murdoch are a loving pair — they play, nap, and even groom each other like they’re in a spa day commercial. They’re small but mighty at 11 and 10 pounds, and let’s face it, they’re adorable enough to break the internet. They get along with the other dogs in the house and have even adopted one of them as their personal project — daily grooming sessions included. It’s like they’re running a doggie beauty salon now. They're both excellent house guests, but they do need to be taken out regularly to avoid any indoor accidents (because no one likes stepping in a surprise). They’d thrive in a fenced-in yard where they can frolic freely, in particular where Murdoch is still learning to master leash walking without pulling his human along. He gets just very excited, so you may find yourself getting a workout in the process. When it’s sofa time, these two are all about cuddles — either on your lap or in constant contact with you like your personal, tiny, fuzzy bodyguards. They're super chill with the routine, even when foster mom heads off to work. When being told to go into the their pen, they happily hang out there for a few hours (no accidents!) and then pass out together like two tiny, snoring beans in a pod.Fun facts: Lovie has the cutest little snort — think “adorable piglet” vibes — and Murdoch’s sleek grey coat makes him look like he should be modeling for a luxury pet brand (though it might look more black in photos, but trust us, it's fancy). When it’s sweater time, they come running like it's the highlight of their day. And brushing? They’re all about it — if only we could get them to brush our hair too. They’ve had their first white Christmas in foster care, but it’s clear these two deserve to have their own forever home to truly live out their holiday movie dreams.Whoever is lucky enough to bring these dogs into their life, will have a heartwarming experience that will definitely change their lives for the better.Name: Murdock & LovieBreed: Shih Tzu/MalteseSex: Male and FemaleAge: 6 years (estimated)Weight: 10.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Yes, Over 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $550.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Texarkana Tx IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
