Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Opal, he is a 4-year-old pure white Siamese with beautiful bright blue eyes (potentially a Foreign White Siamese), that has a birthday coming up on August 7th!!! Opal is a stunning boy with creamy white fur and pink ears. He is a serious boy, incredibly loyal, loving, sweet and loves kisses and pets from his humans. He loves following his foster parent around the house and always wants to be lounging nearby. Did I mention he loves attention? He’s not much of a lap cat, but he does like to snuggle nearby (or sometimes on top of), his foster parent during the night. He will capture your heart with his loud purrs anytime he’s petted or groomed, and he makes adorable chirpy sounding meows when he wants attention. Opal is in good health and has great litter box habits. Opal is an owner surrender due to no longer being able to provide for him. It’s breaking his human’s heart, but she wants to do what is best for Opal so he will be happy and thrive in his forever home. Opal needs to be the king of his castle. He has 2 sisters in the home, and is very aggressive with them, so he must be the only pet. If you have room in your home and heart for this handsome boy, and you want to celebrate his 5th birthday with him, please complete an application today. All MISR cats are neutered or spayed, current on rabies and distemper, have tested negative for FIV/FELV and all known health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Opal is $200. He is located in a foster home in Ann Arbor Michigan.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Diego came to MISR on May 4, 2024.  His birth date is January 2, 2023, so he is just over 1 1/2 years old. (He was named Diego so it was not changed to Luke or some other name referencing 'May the Fourth be with You'. Diego is a quiet guy. Foster dad does not recall hearing him speak. Diego was withdrawn when he arrived and did not interact with foster dad.  Foster dad was reluctant to integrate him with the other cats because he was so introverted. Unlike other reserved cats, Diego reacted to people positively rather quickly. In his own way, Diego made marked improvement in his relationships with people. The key phrase being: 'in his own way'. Diego is very much people oriented in the morning. So much so that he is a literal trip-hazard as foster dad prepares breakfast plates for everyone. Diego also loves back-scratches in the a.m. He is not a voracious eater but he does eat canned food, and dry food is always available for free-feeding. Diego spends most of his day on one special chair in the family room. As the day progresses he is less eager for human contact and will often slink away if approached. Sometimes, foster dad can give him a belly rub which he rolls over to accept. He may not be a lap-cat but he is becoming more receptive to people. A few weeks ago we had a visiting kitten and Diego loved to wrestle and play with him.  The kitten loved 'attacking' his big foster brother. We think Diego was sad when his buddy was no longer around for play. However, there is a new foster kitten that Diego loves to play with and wrestle. So, Diego is an excellent candidate for a family that has a kitten or wants to adopt a kitten in addition to Diego. Diego is current on rabies and distemper shots, and has been FIV/FELV tested.  All known health issues have been addressed.  He is located in a foster home in Novi MI. His adoption fee is $200.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sashi was born on October 24, 2023 and she arrived at MISR on July 22, 2024.  Her foster dad says Sashi is a typical “bundle of energy” kitten. She has found a playmate in one of the other cats that she loves to wrestle with and “attack.”  Fortunately, this other kitty tolerates Sashi’s playfulness. Sometimes, Sashi will visit foster dad in bed at night but some of the other cats have not completely accepted her, so Sashi will leave rather than cause conflict. Often, as we watch television, we will call her and she will jump up to sit beside us or on someone’s lap.  Sashi loves to be at the top of the cat tree, or looking out the front window or door. Sashi is spayed; current on rabies and distemper and all known health issues have been addressed.  Her adoption fee is $200 and she is living in a foster home in Novi MI.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
