Story
Some cats who end up at HSHV cannot adapt to indoor living. They may be feral (i.e., born and raised in the wild), or under-socialized and prefer little to no human contact. Whatever the reason, we still believe these cats deserve a happy life and that they can be placed with families who value them as much as we do. Adopting a barn cat can be a mutually beneficial relationship – you will be saving the life of a healthy cat, while they will help scare off small, pesky rodents! To people who qualify, barn cat adoption is FREE.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ADOPTION PENDINGMeet Opal, he is a 4-year-old pure white Siamese with beautiful bright blue eyes (potentially a Foreign White Siamese), that has a birthday coming up on August 7th!!! Opal is a stunning boy with creamy white fur and pink ears. He is a serious boy, incredibly loyal, loving, sweet and loves kisses and pets from his humans. He loves following his foster parent around the house and always wants to be lounging nearby. Did I mention he loves attention? He’s not much of a lap cat, but he does like to snuggle nearby (or sometimes on top of), his foster parent during the night. He will capture your heart with his loud purrs anytime he’s petted or groomed, and he makes adorable chirpy sounding meows when he wants attention. Opal is in good health and has great litter box habits. Opal is an owner surrender due to no longer being able to provide for him. It’s breaking his human’s heart, but she wants to do what is best for Opal so he will be happy and thrive in his forever home. Opal needs to be the king of his castle. He has 2 sisters in the home, and is very aggressive with them, so he must be the only pet. If you have room in your home and heart for this handsome boy, and you want to celebrate his 5th birthday with him, please complete an application today. All MISR cats are neutered or spayed, current on rabies and distemper, have tested negative for FIV/FELV and all known health issues have been addressed. The adoption fee for Opal is $200. He is located in a foster home in Ann Arbor Michigan.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please inquire about this kitty on our official website:  http://mi-siamese-rescue.rescuegroups.org Our adoption policies and online form are located here: Adoption Information. MISR always accepts donations of lightly used cat carriers, cat trees/towers, and polartec delivery blankets. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Look at this sweet boy, Kappuccino!  He came to us because his owner lost his home and sadly, had to surrender him due to relocation. When he arrived we noticed he was also a front pawed polydactyl (has extra “toes” on each front paw).  Super special! This is also known as a Hemingway cat. Unfortunately, his previous owner wasn’t able to give him the care he needed and Kapp suffered from severe ingrown nails on both paws which was causing him excruciating pain!  Which understandably, also caused him to be very agitated and upset.  We immediately took him to one of our awesome vets and she was able to take care of the most severe injured paw by removing 3 extremely long nails that had imbedded into his paw pads. This took less that a week to resolve his infection so that she could then do surgery on both paws to actually remove the nail on the extra toes. He still has his "mittens" but now no pain and has blossomed into the most extraordinary, handsome sweet boy you will ever meet! He gets along with other cats but would prefer a human to love and be with always.  His beautiful blue eyes shine and reveal the gentle soul that he is.  He melts when you scratch his ears and head too! Kappuccino doesn’t like to be picked up and held, (which is normal with everything he’s gone through) but will sit with you and be with for hours just for your company.  If interested in being this boy's special someone, be sure to get your application submitted quickly.  Once you meet him you will fall in love! All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV/FELV , and up to date on vaccinations including rabies, distemper, and dewormer. You can meet some of our adorable cats and kittens during store hours at PetSmart, 385 Haggerty Rd. in Commerce Township. If you are interested in adopting one or more of our lovable cats, please complete an Adoption Application form which can be found on our website at   www.locrami.com under Forms/Applications.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2025, 1:25 am

Story
Meet Ben, the quiet, mysterious kitty who might greet you with a little hiss at first—but don’t let that fool you! Beneath that initial shyness, he’s a sweet boy who absolutely melts when you show him some love. Once he feels comfortable, Ben enjoys your attention and will happily settle in for some gentle petting and affection. He's a bit reserved and likes things on his own terms, but with a little patience, he’ll show you his softer side. If you’re looking for a calm, low-key companion who just needs time to trust, Ben might just be the perfect fit for your home.

Story
Juno~born~May 2022Special Breed My name`s Juno Guye. My sister Moe and I have an FELV+ status and have been together since the beginning, so we need to be adopted together. FELV+ cats need love too! After we left the Vets Office the first night that we were picked up, we went to the House. That`s where the `boss lady` lives and we call her the Foster Human.Foster Human ended up being pretty nice once she was done feeding us `medicine` all the time.I was always different from my siblings since I`m a Siamese but I also don`t fully fit the descriptions of a Lilac Pointe Siamese... So let`s just say I`m a Juno.I get along great with everyone but I am the quieter one and usually stay off to the side. The dog though is out and about so I try to get along with him but he just gets so over the top and I have to distance from that. It would be nice to find a home where there`s not so many others around where maybe I could feel more comfortable fitting in along with Moe. So if you`d like to have some one-on-one time you could apply for me and Moe. I`ll accept you if you accept me(;* Just apply and we`ll see *_____A special adoption fee is offered for FELV+ cats.
