Story
Cyrus is a 4-year-old, 9-pound female Silky Terrier mix from Tijuana.She is a sweet, gentle little lady.
She is making progress adjusting to all the new sights and sounds of NYC.
Cyrus enjoys cuddles, naptime and being close to her human(s).
She seems to be housetrained, and mainly goes potty outside during her walks. She prefers a quiet spot for this.
Cyrus is still working on her leash skills. She can get distracted and sometimes freezes around loud noises, quick movements or groups of people. Cyrus is working on overcoming her shyness when greeting new people and dogs.
Her forever family will need to continue working with Cyrus to reinforce and advance the progress she has been making.
Cyrus has done well in her crate for a few hours during the day. She also does fine outside her crate when left alone, although she will sometimes grab her human's shoe for company. Cyrus will sleep in her crate overnight but is also happy to sleep with you or in her dog bed.
Cyrus is looking for a quiet, low-key family. She would most likely be chill with another dog in the home and would be ok with older children.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella and lepto. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
