Story
Gorgeous ragdoll kitty, Beauty, is just as sweet as she is lovely. This fluffy princess is affectionate and loves attention. Beauty is playful and easy-going. She gets along well with other cats and cat-savvy dogs, but would prefer to be adopted with her siblings, Brian and Beast. She is particularly attached to Brian, as he is to her, and the two must be adopted as a pair. Beauty is fixed, vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, and microchipped. This cat is part of a large group that was rescued from poor conditions and have required vet care over and above the norm. The adoption fee is $300 per cat plus $300 tax-deductible donation per cat that will be used towards veterinary care for their group. If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this kitten, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.

Story
Ragdoll kitty, Brian, is the most timid of his littermates but once he knows he's among friends he warms up quickly. He is sweet, playful, and has the cutest little squeak when he wants to get your attention. Brian gets along well with other cats and doesn't seem to mind cat-friendly dogs. He is extremely attached to his littermates, Beauty and Beast, and must at least be adopted with Beauty. Brian is fixed, vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, and microchipped. This cat is part of a large group that was rescued from poor conditions and have required vet care over and above the norm. The adoption fee is $300 per cat plus $300 tax-deductible donation per cat that will be used towards veterinary care for their group. Story
Rosie (Rosalita) and Leo (Leonardo) are a brother and sister bonded pair originally from the naval base in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. They have the craziest backstory and biggest personalities to go with it. Rosie - a real cats cat. Skittish but will cozy up to you immediately for treats and food Leo - snuggly, silly, Velcro cat who loves to be right by your side They are very attached and I could never imagine separating them. I’ve had them for seven years and am moving but unfortunately can’t take them with me. I want to find them the very best home, they are very special and loved cats.

Story
Male, Domestic Shorthair , 10 years old Joel a very calm mature adult is new to the rescue and we can't wait to find out more about them. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
