Meet Nyx, a charming, playful, and affectionate Siamese cat with a BIG personality as vibrant as his striking blue eyes. Nyx is a true companion, always ready to snuggle up and share his warmth and love. He’s known for his boundless curiosity and playful nature. His jumps during playtime are legendary! Despite his confident leaps, Nyx has a tender, cautious side. His moments of surprise are as cute as they are quick, leaving you smiling every time. Whether it’s a door opening abruptly or a bid for attention, his bursts of energy and skittishness result in a sliding, bounding, and goofily entertaining kitty. True to the Siamese reputation, Nyx is incredibly intelligent, vocal and needs lots of attention. He loves to have conversations and will make sure you know when he needs attention or has something important to say. He will be your shadow cat as he is friendly and gentle, wanting your touch, kisses, and cuddles. He will paw for your pets and understands to be gentle with his claws when pulling your hand to his head. He loves to play, enjoys puzzle toys and enrichment along with lick mats and food enrichment as well. He has no problem curling up on your lap, in bed, or anywhere else you let him once he's gotten his energy out. Nyx would thrive best in a house where he gets a lot of attention. He needs a home where he can get and give lots of playtime and love. He possibly would enjoy a sweet calm dog who is cat friendly or a cat friend who is gentle, but playful and near his age. We also believe he would do great with mature kids above the toddler age and be a wonderful family cat. Our dream for Nyx would be a prior Siamese owner who understands his Siamese ways and knows there is much more to him than just his gorgeous looks. He has specific needs due to his breed and past upbringing. He needs someone who will love him for the cat he is and his big loving personality. Nyx is exploring and learning about life all over from the beginning due to his restricted life in his prior home. Sophie 2 was surrendered to the rescue in the summer of 2023, and at first, she was quite fearful and heartbroken at having lost the only family she’d ever known. Under the loving care of the staff at the Goathouse, Sophie 2 has begun to shed some of her shyness, and we hope to find her a wonderful, true forever home where she can live out her golden years. Toby was found hanging out in a feral cat colony in Garner. The caretaker could tell he was just scared and not feral. It only took a few hours in his foster home before he was relaxed and purring. He was subdued until he cleared quarantine and got out-of-the-crate privileges. He immediately started chasing and playing with the resident adult cats. He definitely needs to be adopted with another playful kitty or go to a home with another cat. He's very playful and loves feather toys, mice, etc. His foster mom can pick him up and love on him and he's starting to learn to come for attention. Their favorite hobbies are playing with interactive toys and enjoying catnip, sleeping and eating. Fletcher enjoys getting brushed, loose catnip, and belly rubs. Duncan is affectionately known as “twitchy” since he isn’t as trusting as his brother, but he loves head scrubs and Churu treats. They both enjoy chasing feather toys and their hide-a-treat interactive toys.
