Story
Handsome Rick, born in April of 2023, is a Snowshoe mix with gorgeous blue eyes and a gentle demeanor. He is very shy as a result of a tremendously rough start to life. He was saved from a terrible hoarding situation in a rural county where he received very little gentle human interaction. When our rescue brought him into our care, he was completely shut down and would barely move a muscle when people were around. He just wanted to hide from the world. After months of decompression, a quiet space, and very gentle handling, Rick has become much less fearful of humans but he still has a long way to go. He does not hide from his foster mom anymore, doesn't run away when she approaches him and will willingly sniff her hand but he's still doesn't feel comfortable with pets and is still very untrusting of people he doesn't know. Rick LOVES other cats and loves to engage them in play. He would be a great friend to another friendly cat. And has learned to play with TOYS which he never knew existed! The world is becoming much less scary to him but he will need a very cat savvy person to continue his journey. Rick needs a quiet home with another cat friend to show him the way. His journey will take a long time so his human will need endless patience and love to give to him.

Story
Sara and her best buddy Sophie 2 were surrendered to the Goathouse in the summer of 2023, and at first, they both were very fearful and heartbroken at having lost the only family they’d ever known. Under the patient, loving care of the staff at the Goathouse, both Sophie and Sara have begun to shed some of their shyness, and we hope to find them a wonderful, true forever home where they can live out their golden years. These senior beauties would love nothing more than a sunny, quiet space to call their own, alongside a family seeking two very sweet, gentle companions. Approx. DOB: 07/20/2009

Story
Noelle was rescued from a local business around Christmas 2022.  She was diagnosed with allergies and is currently taking an allergy pill every day.  She takes her meds well in a pill pocket mixed with her canned food.  She enjoys petting and rubbing her foster parents legs, but she does not get along with other cats.  She  does tolerate her sister Holly.  Noelle is a tortie-point Siamese with prominent tortie points.  She would probably be best in a home without small children or dogs. ##1605326##

Story
Shlomo is a large Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes. Although a bit shy at first, he quickly warms up to new people and enjoys being petted and sitting on laps. He's great with humans and other cats, and should be fine with a cat-savvy dog. He's a gentle soul who had a tough start in life, but who enjoys hanging with his humans and living a comfortable indoor life. Shlomo is FIV-positive but can cohabit with FIV-negative cats. With proper care, he can live a normal and healthy life. ##1972099##

Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lark is a striking 9-month-old Snowshoe Siamese with captivating blue eyes and distinctive markings. She is exceptionally playful, full of energy, and always ready for an adventure. However, Lark requires an experienced adopter who can provide gentle, positive reinforcement as she continues to learn the joys of human affection and touch. With the right guidance and patience, Lark will blossom into a loving and loyal companion. Given her personality, we believe she would do well with other cats, older children, and cat-friendly dogs if allowed time for an introduction. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, and group testing for FIV and FeLV. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our adoption page for more information on our adoption process and to complete our adoption application. https://www.julietshouse.org/online-adoption-applications *All in our program are assumed to be mixed breed as none have had genetic testing. They are designated based on characteristics observed and noted.
