Story
SIMONE was abandoned, pregnant and showing signs of abuse when she appeared on a neighbor’s deck looking for food. Taken inside, she was terrified of everything. Then she was diagnosed with Stomatitis: painful swelling and sores in the mouth. She’s had a few teeth pulled and has had smelly flare-ups periodically. When her breath turns bad, a steroid shot at the vet takes care of it. This will likely need to be done around four times yearly. Simone needs a quiet home with no children. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Story
This is Freya, she is just over a year old. Unaltered, no shots to date. We rescued her from an outdoor litter and have not fully vetted her. We have realized that she is quite aggressive with our three young kids so we made the decision to try to find her a new furever home. She does fairly well with our other cats, so other cats in the house should be fine - just no kids. I believe she would do better in a house that she could have a catio or go outside every so often, as she loves being on our balcony and is always in a better mood while outside.
