Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 2, 2025, 12:39 pm

Story
Hey-ya, I'm Spanky! I'm a cute, stocky little low rider, who is waiting ever so patiently to find my forever home! Short walks in the shade? Low-key snuggles on the couch? Yes, please! I was brought to the shelter when I was left behind by my owner. I'm not letting this get me down, though, and have lots of love to offer to the people who bring me into their home! I am fully grown at my current 48 pounds since I'm about 3 years young, but I don't think pictures will do my adorable self justice! If you're looking for a happy go lucky little dude to bring home with you, come meet me!   Have Room in Your Home? Welcoming in a pet saves your new pet's life and creates space for another pet to get a chance! Not sure if Spanky would be the best fit for you? Send in a generic app! Our team will work with you to find a pet to best fit your lifestyle! You will go home with a starter bag of food, one month of flea and heartworm prevention, and also have 90 DAYS of training help included with your adoption, if needed! Story
My daughters and I decided to foster Comet from Barcs for the holidays. Once we received our first adoption application we then had 24 hours to decide if we wanted to adopt her. We did end up adopting her but I made a quick decision without fully thinking about it as we wanted more time with her but knew we couldnt keep her as we have two other rescue dogs already and three is just a little too much. She is a wonderful dog and just wants love all the time, she is very affectionate and listens and is the best dog friend anyone could ask for. We dont know her back story but can see she was overbred and her ears were cropped possibly a little too much but I am no expert on that. She deserves a loving family or individual that wants a new best friend because that is all she wants and deserves. I have had no issues with her what so ever and she is even crate trained. I would love nothing more than to see this 3 year old baby girl get the best home for the rest of her life.
