Story
This story is an amazing story of persistence, kindness, and trust. These five puppies were found by one of our southern partners near the base of an oak tree along a remote stretch of road, deep in the woods near the Mississippi/Tennessee state line. Momma Dog was spotted first, hunting for food next to the roadside, and he could tell that she had puppies somewhere. After setting out food and water for over one month, she finally trusted him enough to bring her puppies out of the dense woods and placed them at the base of the oak tree close to the road for him to help. We are glad she did. Mama is also glad she did, as she and her puppies are now in a home with soft beds and regular meals. Mama will also be up for adoption soon. First, she needs us to find homes for her beautiful puppies. The puppies’ temperaments are happy, playful, and fun-loving. They are very smart and outgoing. Like any puppy, they will require puppy training, but they are really the best puppies! They enjoy being a part of the household, and they seek the affection of people.Name: BanditBreed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 11 weeksWeight: 17lbsSpayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  Memphis  TN   Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide a list of low-cost SN clinics to adopters when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Story
Meet Baxter, the adorable pitbull mix puppy born on April Fool's Day with a heart full of love and energy! Currently weighing 24 pounds, Baxter is being fostered in Conway, Arkansas, but he's excitedly preparing for his journey to New England the weekend of July 20th for an adoption event. This playful little guy loves toys, is full of energy, and gets the zoomies when he's excited. Baxter adores people and enjoys playing with other dogs. Surrendered to our rescue group by a homeless man who wanted a better life for him, Baxter has a special story of love and care. Baxter was recently neutered and is fully vetted, including all core vaccinations, microchipping, de-worming, and a thorough examination by a licensed veterinarian. His adoption fee is $450, which covers the cost of transport as well—a small price to pay for such a priceless pup! If you're looking for a lively and loving companion, Baxter is ready to bring joy and excitement into your life! He is crate trained and working on potty training. Since he is just a little puppy, he will need someone with love and patience. Adopt Baxter and let his playful spirit and boundless energy brighten your days!         4o ##2106985##
