Story
From Merlin's foster mom: I have had the pleasure of fostering Merlin for several months. He was dumped in a rural area and was hard to catch and scared of everything. I brought him into my house and he stayed inside with outside potty breaks while in my care and NEVER had an accident inside. I became worried about his safety when he escaped my fence one day and would not come back to me. He was sent for 2 weeks inboard training. He caught a chicken the day he got loose but dropped it when I told him to and the chicken was unharmed. Merlin slowly warmed up to me and would try to get in to my lap a lot. He is very loving and sweet. He would be a great walking or jogging companion as he is high energy. He was very submissive to all my other dogs and was tolerant of cats but I never left him alone with the cats. Merlin is very smart and funny and he has a wonderful personality. He is a perfect dog but he needs an adopter with a sense of humor. Merlin "The Magician" makes things disappear! He loves to collect household items...shoes, clothes, spoons, canned goods, measuring tapes...whatever he can get his mouth on. He has great fun swiping things the second you turn around. He has a special place he takes his treasurers and understands you will collect your items back. I imagine this will improve as he grows out of puppyhood and with follow up training. He was started with the basics but will continue to need reinforcement of what he has learned. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. FOCCAS is a 501c3 animal rescue based in Crossville TN. Meet Archie! Archie is a 4 year old, 50 pound poodle who has found himself needing a new home at no fault of his own! He is a quirky little guy who starts out nervous until he trusts you! It take time to earn his trust, but after nervously keeping his distance at first, he becomes your shadow. He does take longer to trust men. He is great and protective over children. He also loves other dogs! He loves carrots (yes, full size carrots!). He is a cuddle bug, too! He is house trained, kennel trained and knows some tricks! If you are interested in Archie, you must have a fenced in yard. If you would like to add Archie to your forever home, simply go to goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an application.

Story
Meet Trout, a charming 6-year-old Poodle mix with a heart as big as his 60-pound frame! He wears a long grey coat that will need to be groomed every few months in order to help him maintain his good looks! His personality is a delightful blend of sweet and friendly, with a dash of playful energy that keeps him young at heart. Trout loves to cuddle, and his mellow temperament makes him a perfect companion for quiet evenings at home. Trout is a loyal friend who will always be there to offer comfort and companionship. This lovely boy deserves a forever home where he can continue to share his love and joy! He was surrendered by his owners because they wanted to travel. Trout hopes that whoever adopts him will stay home so he can play with the family and love them, too. Adopt Trout and let his sweet nature fill your life with happiness. (ME, 1/7/25) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. Adoption fees for Hope dogs and those who have been at rescue for prolonged amounts of time are reduced to $150 plus a $100 transport fee, as notated in their listings.January 7, 2025, 5:51 pm
