ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/14158Name: Ivy LynnGender: femaleBreed: Poodle MixAge: 1.5 years oldWeight: 30 lbsCurrent Location: Bel Air, MDAbout: Hello, my name is Ivy Lynn! My foster mom says I am a delightful, playful, sweet, silly, affectionate girl! I LOVE tennis balls and toys, and do a great job of playing with all of them when my fosters are busy. I also enjoy playing with the other dog here - I'm the kind of girl who gets along with anyone. I like to run in the yard and need to work on not pulling on the leash, but I'm also very gentle and pretty calm in the home. I have fairly long legs but am only 30lbs! I don't love the crate but I tolerate it fine. I'd just rather be with you! My foster mom says I'm well behaved out of the crate too, though she hasn't had to leave me for long yet. I also know how to sit and will sleep through the night. I’m looking for my forever family, could it be with you? If so please hit the apply button and let’s get our family started.

Rambo is good with other dogs. He has not met cats, but doesn't have the personality to bother them. He has not lived with children due to being in the Prison Program but with his great personality, seems to have alot of potential as a family dog. He is a medium/large, and will enjoy an active life. Story
This handsome boy is called Beamer and he is a 3 year old 42 pound Poodle. while he doesn’t have the Poodle cut for his face, we can see from his tail to his body conformation that he is most likely a Standard Poodle.  What you can see immediately about Beamer is that he is happy and has a fabulous smile for everyone.  He ended up in a shelter in Tennessee and they held him for 2 weeks to see who might come forward and no one stepped up.  While he might have been a stray, it has not dimmed his bright personality nor ended his love for giving everyone his electric smile.  He is great with other dogs, has been fully vetted and is healthy.  This boy loves to run and play with other dogs in the fenced play yard and soak up all the attention he can get from the humans he encounters.   This is a rare offering to consider adopting a young, healthy Poodle like this who has a sweet temperament and so well-rounded.  He is good on a leash and pretty much has demonstrated that he is housebroken.  Beamer only wants to bring joy and love to someone and in return receive a place to belong and a family that will cherish him.  If you are a family with a fenced yard, time to train and polish this boy to be the best possible companion you have ever loved in your lifetime of owning a dog.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 21, 2025, 1:52 pm

Story
From Merlin's foster mom: I have had the pleasure of fostering Merlin for several months. He was dumped in a rural area and was hard to catch and scared of everything. I brought him into my house and he stayed inside with outside potty breaks while in my care and NEVER had an accident inside. I became worried about his safety when he escaped my fence one day and would not come back to me. He was sent for 2 weeks inboard training. He caught a chicken the day he got loose but dropped it when I told him to and the chicken was unharmed. Merlin slowly warmed up to me and would try to get in to my lap a lot. He is very loving and sweet. He would be a great walking or jogging companion as he is high energy. He was very submissive to all my other dogs and was tolerant of cats but I never left him alone with the cats. Merlin is very smart and funny and he has a wonderful personality. He is a perfect dog but he needs an adopter with a sense of humor. Merlin "The Magician" makes things disappear! He loves to collect household items...shoes, clothes, spoons, canned goods, measuring tapes...whatever he can get his mouth on. He has great fun swiping things the second you turn around. He has a special place he takes his treasurers and understands you will collect your items back. I imagine this will improve as he grows out of puppyhood and with follow up training. He was started with the basics but will continue to need reinforcement of what he has learned. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. FOCCAS is a 501c3 animal rescue based in Crossville TN. Story
Meet Blitz, a sweet boy, about two years old, pulled out of a huge high kill pound a day before his time was up. A poodle mix with a mohawk down the center-you will have fun guessing what else he is. Seems to not shed and will likely need occasional grooming. Blitz is about 28-30 pounds, a bit low to the ground, and is a loving guy who lives to please his foster mom. Fostered with dogs of various sizes including a chihuahua and gets along with all, Playful as well. Not sure about cats-he wants to chase them but doesn't seem to want to hurt them so may do fine with a cat who sets the rules. Housebroken-the crate isn't his favorite place but he tolerates it. As so many rescue dogs, he may be nervous for the first minute or so, but with a treat and a kind word, he is your best friend very quickly. PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped.
