Story
Uma Monet is 18 months and knows her name well. We call her Uma for short. Uma has received service dog training and AKC good citizen certificates. She is very athletic and would do well in dog sports like agility and possibly even fetch dive competitions. She is a sprinter, weaver and long distance runner. She likes to cuddle at home, sits well in her car booster seat but loves playtime in the park. My first dog is not taking well to a new dog and she would be best as a only dog or with a young dog who would accept her. She is a velcro dog. Ideally, a great fit with someone active and with a backyard. She has not been around very young children or cats. I cannot speak to that but you are welcome to visit us at a local park for a meet and greet. Rehome fee $500. A trained dog with potential to be a agility champion https://youtu.be/pnQdvvVBfGI

Story
Meet Magnificent Maleena!  This super sweet and very active girl is learning all the good things that life has to offer.  She knew her life was turning around the moment she arrived at her foster home.  This poor little girl spent most of the months of her short life living in a crate in the garage with very little food, water, or attention.  She is small for a standard poodle but too big to be a miniature.  Her sad life caused her to weigh only 20 lbs when she was rescued.  You could count every rib and see most of her bones.  The vet says she should be about 40 lbs and is now well on her way to her ideal weight.  Maleena loves people.  As soon as she knows you are nice she is your buddy.  She is also great with other dogs and ok with cats.  Maleena's favorite thing to do is to RUN!!!  She absolutely loves the fenced in field at her foster home and the other dogs that run out there with her.  We think that she would also love structured exercies and that she would be a great companion for an active family who enjoy walking, hiking or running.  She would also do better in a home with older children or an all adult home. Maleena is making great progress with her leash manners and loves to ride in the car.  She is also housebroken to a doggie door so she might need a little help if you do not have one.  Maleena will make a great companion for the right family.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Maleena is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)March 31, 2025, 9:24 pm

Story
Bronson is a stunning young pup with a one-of-a-kind brindle coat—he must have gotten those gorgeous markings from his dad! His mom was a mix of Standard Poodle and Airedale, giving him a slightly rough coat, soulful eyes, and a sharp mind to match his good looks.  Born around 10/20/24,  this smart boy is already making great progress with crate and potty training, thanks to his foster mom’s dedication. He’s highly intelligent and eager to learn, especially when treats and toys are involved! Bronson has already mastered “sit” and is well on his way to being a well-mannered companion. Friendly and affectionate, Bronson gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and trainable pup, Bronson is ready to be your new best friend! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 1, 2025, 12:43 am

Story
Brandon is a handsome 5 month old bundle of love with a stunning brindle coat that he must have inherited from his dad! His mom was a unique mix of half Standard Poodle and half Airedale, so Brandon is destined to grow into a big, lovable boy that could weigh 60 pounds. With his lovingly sweet personality, Brandon is the total puppy package! His foster mom has been working hard on his crate training and potty training, and he’s already mastered “sit.” He’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a perfect fit for just about any type of family.  Brandon would love an active family that could provide him a fenced yard where Brandon can safely play. He would also embrace having  another canine companion in the family or active children or family members that will take him for good walks, jogs and a life filled with fun adventures. Brandon would be a great social butterfly out in the community and neighborhood. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup with a heart of gold (and a golden coat to match!), Brandon might just be your perfect match!   Please write to critter cavalry rescue, at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested!  Let us know where you live as well.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 1, 2025, 12:43 am

She thrives on human companionship and will happily follow her person from room to room. She’s doing great with her potty training! Nilla knows to go first thing in the morning, after meals, and before bedtime. If she has an accident, it`s only because her human got distracted. Story
Golden doodle, Prince, is looking for his furever home. This handsome fellow is potty trained and getting better on a leash every day. Crates or small enclosures make him nervous, however, if given adequate exercise and stimulation Prince settles down very nicely. He enjoys chasing the ball while off-leash, squeaky toys, getting belly rubs, and anything food related. Prince would do best in a home with a big yard to romp in, someone around a good portion of the time, and lots of love and treats. The adoption fee for this dog is $650. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Story
Meet Peanut, the sweetest doodle boy who's so ready to find his furever home! This big, leggy guy is all about making friends ~ whether with humans or fellow pups, he wants to collect them ALL and go on lots of fun adventures with them! Peanut loves his daily walks and playing fetch in the yard. He is eagerly awaiting the day his furever family walks through the doors to whisk him away to a place of marathon walks, but in the meantime he is having the time of his life. He's totally housebroken, walks well on the leash, and rides nicely in the car. Peanut is full of energy - in addition to walks, he loves enrichment activities, chewing on Benebones, and playing ball. It's especially entertaining to watch him chase after toys on his very long, very clumsy legs. He also loves going on adventures, especially ones where he can meet new people and dogs. Once he's tuckered out, he will keep the entertainment coming by showing you a never-ending series of the most creative and uncomfortable-looking sleeping positions you've ever seen! Peanut absolutely adores attention and will do best in a family that's home with him most of the time and can give him lots of exercise, toys, and love. He thrives on structure and a consistent routine, is great with dogs and cats, and loves to give paw. Baby gates are no match for his long legs, so he’ll need a home ready to embrace his playful, smart, and oh-so-sweet personality. Peanut has diet and environmental allergies that can lead to skin conditions if untreated. He was in rough shape when he came to us but we've gotten his skin back into great shape through cytopoint injections, benadryl, and regular medicated baths. He'll need management for his skin throughout his life as many pups with allergies do, so his forever family will need to be willing and able to stay on top of his care. Peanut is so full of love and ready to bring his new family so much joy! Can you give this goofy and loveable boy a soft place to land? Peanut is approximately 6 years old and 48 lbs. Fostered in Hagerstown, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org

Blaze Standard Poodle Male Black 8.5 years old 56 lbs Meet Blaze – Your Perfect Balance of Playful & Cuddly! Blaze is an 8.5-year-old sweetheart with the right mix of calm relaxation and playful energy. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always up for a cuddle or a fun game of chase with his favorite humans. While we’re unsure how he feels about cats, Blaze’s loving nature makes us think he’d thrive in a home with kids 10 and up. However, we think he would do best as the only dog in his forever home. Blaze loves going on walks and gets super excited when he sees other dogs. With patience, consistency, and proper guidance he will learn to stay relaxed and walk well on a leash and continue to grow into the best version of himself. After being moved around a few times, Blaze is ready to settle in, bond deeply, and be someone’s loyal companion for life. Story
Pinky Standard Poodle Female Black 2 years old 47 lbs Meet PINKY – The Sweet & Playful Companion! Pinky is a friendly, energetic, and affectionate pup who will bring endless joy to her forever family! She gets along well with other dogs (especially smaller ones) and adores walks, yard play, and a good game of fetch with her favorite toys. She’s a perfect mix of playful and cuddly—always up for some fun but just as happy to curl up beside you for some snuggles and brushing. She’s an easygoing girl who doesn’t fuss over much and will eagerly wait by the window for her favorite humans to return home. Pinky is also a smart cookie! She knows "sit," "shake," and "down" and will happily work for treats. When she’s tired, she even puts herself to bed! She’s not much of a barker, but she does have a mischievous side—she’s figured out lever door handles and has managed to sneak into closed rooms (or even outside if the front door opens!). Once she’s out, she thinks it’s all a game when you try to bring her back inside. Pinky is a sweet, loving, and playful girl who will make an amazing companion. She’s ready to shower her forever family with love, fun, and lots of cuddles! Story
Hi, my name is Georgie.  I’m a fabulous little miniature poodle who is 7 years old, and I weigh 17 lbs.  I’m an awesome little guy who is used to being the center of attention.  I lived with my mom and dad, and then they got divorced so it was just mom and me.  She doted on me; I was too strong when she walked me so she got me a stroller – or carriage, as I prefer to call it.  She took such good care of me, but I got to be too much for her so she let Critter Cavalry Rescue find a foster home for me while I wait for my new forever home. I love my foster mom, but I have to share the attention with 4 other dogs and I do NOT like that at all (and they’re not too happy at me being here).  I’d love to find a couple in their 50’s or 60’s with no other dogs who would make me the center of their universe. I’m ok with older children occasionally, but would prefer a house with just adults.  I’m not being picky (well yes I am); I don’t ever want to go through the loss of my human again.  I know lots of tricks and would love to show you how smart I am.  I can shake hands, high five, lie down, roll over, and stand up and dance.  I am house trained, but will use a pad if I get desperate.  I prefer that you go outside with me and stay with me, or else I will just come inside with you; I need a fenced in back yard so I can do the zoomies outside.  I LOVE to go for walks, and walk well on a leash.  I was a picky eater when I first arrived, but after 3 days I was eating well.  I need to go to the groomer frequently, and need a new family that can afford to take care of me.  After all, I think I am a prince.  I like to be on the couch and sleep in the bed with you.  I demand petting, and will let you know when I’m unhappy.  I hope you have cried and then laughed at what I had to say, and you are now ready to apply to be my true forever family.  I’m neutered and am current on all my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered to be my forever family and to request an adoption application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported to my forever family upon adoption.)              March 20, 2025, 5:39 pm

Story
This handsome Miniature Poodle boy is called Wrigley and he is a young 3 year old, 14 pound sweetheart looking for a home.  His life started off with a breeder and he was purchased as a Christmas gift for young children who soon grew tired of the novelty puppy.  They were supposed to take care of him and the parents were not willing to pick up the slack for his care.  The solution was to put this poor 14 pound boy outside on a tie out in the cold elements of Winter.  A neighbor grew so concerned about him and asked if they would give him up to a rescue.  They fortunately agreed and soon this handsome Poodle was in the right hands that could change his life.  He needed to be neutered and it has been done with all other vetting.  Wrigley is a happy boy despite the lack of love and past care.  He seems to have been unfazed that he spent time alone outside and not receiving the real love and snuggles that he so freely gives now to his foster mom. He is housebroken once again and he has left the horror of being on a tie-out far behind.  He is crate trained and we have groomed him just before neutering him.  He has a whole new life ahead of him and we have polished him up to look as dapper as he could before leaving for a new forever home. If you have been looking for a young Poodle to rescue and love then, this is a rare opportunity to get a fully vetted boy with no hidden issues or fears.  He is fine with other dogs, cats and gets along great with everyone he meets. Wrigley was wonderful to the children in the first home even though they did not appreciate him. This treasure is just waiting for a miracle family to love him.  Could that be you?  He is in Tennessee and we transport northward almost every weekend.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 2, 2025, 8:13 am

Story
Meet Marshmallow, the sweetest softie of a  Miniature Poodle on the planet.  Said to be about 12 years or older,  whorver guessed his age never lived with this spunky, active little guy.  No way does this little guy slow down or hobble?Along like an old man.  In fact, he jumps he begs to get in your lab. He climbs stairs. He just does everything up dog ten years and under would do. He runs and hops around the house like he's half his age. He keeps up with the young dog in the home, chasing and playing, running from room to room and not the senior boy he truly is. When not playing, he happily follows his foster mom around the house and is ready to jump on her lap if she sits down. Marshmallow is a happy boy that loves to snuggle and give kisses. Believe it or not, this boy is the outdoorsy type and loves to lay in the sun and explore the enclosed patio.  He is always up for a good walk on the leash is a champ. When being walked.  Just know he is the curious type and is an observant boy.  If he finds something that interests him he will stop and sit to watch what's going on. If you're missing him in the house, he can likely be found on the back of the couch looking out the front window-not barking, just being nosey. When he's tired, he will put himself to bed in his crate, usually burrowing under the blankets. His favorite place to nap/sleep is with his foster mom. Marshmallow is nithing but a joy to have in your life.  All he wants us love, snuggles, and comfy blankets.
