Story
Meet Blitz, a sweet boy, about two years old, pulled out of a huge high kill pound a day before his time was up. A poodle mix with a mohawk down the center-you will have fun guessing what else he is. Seems to not shed and will likely need occasional grooming. Blitz is about 28-30 pounds, a bit low to the ground, and is a loving guy who lives to please his foster mom. Fostered with dogs of various sizes including a chihuahua and gets along with all, Playful as well. Not sure about cats-he wants to chase them but doesn't seem to want to hurt them so may do fine with a cat who sets the rules. Housebroken-the crate isn't his favorite place but he tolerates it. As so many rescue dogs, he may be nervous for the first minute or so, but with a treat and a kind word, he is your best friend very quickly. PLEASE NOTE- AN APPLICATION FROM THE WEBSITE ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG IS REQUIRED prior to any meet and greet. Calling, emailing and using the “contact us” link is not useful and will delay your consideration in the adoption of the dog. Petfinder inquires are not sent to us. The adoption fee is $425, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including age appropriate vaccinations, worming, flea/tick preventative and spay/neuter. All of our dogs will be microchipped. APPLY AT ALMOSTHOMEDOGS.ORG (click on the word "Adopt" at top of page to find the dropdown menu with application) Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org, then click on "Adopt" tab at top We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check, cash or venmo is preferred payment

Story
This handsome boy is called Beamer and he is a 3 year old 42 pound Poodle. while he doesn’t have the Poodle cut for his face, we can see from his tail to his body conformation that he is most likely a Standard Poodle.  What you can see immediately about Beamer is that he is happy and has a fabulous smile for everyone.  He ended up in a shelter in Tennessee and they held him for 2 weeks to see who might come forward and no one stepped up.  While he might have been a stray, it has not dimmed his bright personality nor ended his love for giving everyone his electric smile.  He is great with other dogs, has been fully vetted and is healthy.  This boy loves to run and play with other dogs in the fenced play yard and soak up all the attention he can get from the humans he encounters.   This is a rare offering to consider adopting a young, healthy Poodle like this who has a sweet temperament and so well-rounded.  He is good on a leash and pretty much has demonstrated that he is housebroken.  Beamer only wants to bring joy and love to someone and in return receive a place to belong and a family that will cherish him.  If you are a family with a fenced yard, time to train and polish this boy to be the best possible companion you have ever loved in your lifetime of owning a dog.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 21, 2025, 1:52 pm

Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/14142Fia (Sophia Lacey Grace) is a stunning 2.5-year-old Standard Poodle with a birthdate of May 6, 2022. Weighing in at 56 lbs, Fia is the perfect blend of elegance and charm.Fia is looking for a loving forever home where she can thrive and show off her gentle, intelligent nature. She loves companionship, loves to walk on a leash or romp off leash and loves car rides. She is happiest when she's part of the family and likes to stay close to her people during walks. Fia's foster family has the following to say about her.... She is a wonderful dog; housebroken and uses a doggie door to freely go in and out. She is not a fan of the crate but she is a great house guest and knows house manners. Fia is best behaved when she is exercised twice daily with long walks. She prefers women and is a bit timid around men, although there are 3 men in her current household and she has warmed up to them beautifully. She is food driven & will take food from anyone, she has pretty high confidence, which is good indicator that she will be easy and eager to train and learn new things. In her Foster Mom's opinion, she is highly trainable for all and any new commands, and would be a perfect hiking/running partner. She is extremely good on the leash and heels perfectly. Her kind demeanor and affectionate personality make her a joy to have around. She’s ready to snuggle up, share her playful energy, and bring lots of joy to her new family. Are you ready to welcome this sweet girl into your home?
